I've never hated you for a gun you had before. So jealous it hurts.

What’s a good starter surplus gun?
I’m thinking about getting a tokarev from either Romania or Serbia because they’re real cheap but can I carry it?

You can carry it if you find a holster that's comfortable. It all depends what your preferences are.

Is this one of the Early Berettas without the slide safety?

I'M TRYING I NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO RE-FINISH HER

M9/Beretta 92

It's a special edition gun. They made 2000 of them.

How much

I’m considering a Beretta 92 compact as a CC option. Is this a dumb idea? I already carry a Glock 19 but I love the way my M9A3 shoots and think having a similar shooting gun I carry would be cool. Are the compacts a decent carry gun or are they still large and heavy?

Traded a few guns for it. They go from ~$1800-2500 from what I've seen

P30L real cheap

www.cdnnsports.com/p30l-9mm-longslide-da-sa-v3.html

also other HK guns in stock for good discount. thought I'd share

Does MecGar make a 15 rounder for that? Seems a shame to lose 2 rounds for the same length grip.

Attached: beretta-compact-g19-px4.jpg (719x600, 51K)

It's not very compact compared to other compacts, like all spaghetti berettis it's pretty chonky. 200 grams heavier (about a third) and 10mm longer than the Cock 19.

What about a beretta 84? It’d be a new caliber but it’s smaller. Do they make D springs and G conversions for 84s?

burt what camera/lens do you use?

How old were you when you fired your first handgun?

The OP made me think of this because my father has a p38 that his own father brought back from the war. The last time my uncle came over, he asked to see it and remarked, ‘I remember when I was 9-10 and I would just wait for Mom and Dad to go out so I could take this outside and shoot it all the time’ and then he complains about his hearing aids and tinnitus or something.

Tasty, I've been looking at set of grips like that.

Anybody mounted an ACRO to a 75 series yet? How's it look, and do you need an adapter plate for it like the RMR?

Huh, those pictures make me look like I'm not a fat fuck

It's the lighting you need to pay attention to

Cut your fucking nails

Where did you get the grip panels?

Dream gun stuff right there

I'll trade you a gold desert eagle for it? lol

HK USP40 ($370), S&W 4006 ($400) or 5906 ($300), CZ82 ($250), Makarov ($250), mayyyyybe a Star BM ($200). user's M92S ($300) suggestion is great too

Classic beauty

That's a normal price, HK dropped MSRP to the $580s in I think 2017. Actually a little high

Canon 7D with a Tamron 28-75 SP (old version), but user is right, the secret is the bounce flash. I bounce a (Canon 580EX) flash off the ceiling for almost every shot, it provides extremely good, diffuse, clean lighting that overpowers local sources so there is no white balance variation. It can be adjusted to almost any angle forwards or backwards, up, down, left, right, wherever you need it to bounce.

Hmm, I think I was about 14 or 15 when I went shooting with friends. I'd shot rifles and shotguns before that.

YES

It's significantly shorter than a Cock brand Cock 19, 172mm compared to the Glock's 187mm, it's only 15 grams heavier, so it is more compact in general, very slightly wider by 3mm but also shorter by 6mm. If you want it to be even thinner for CC you can get the 85FS which has only an 8 round single stack mag compared to the 84FS's 13 round double stack. They can fit different springs but their triggers aren't as heavy as that of the 92FS or 92A1 and so the only springs I can find for it are to actually increase the weight of trigger pull to 14, 15, or 16lbs, the factory double action pull is 10.5 pounds with the single action pull being around 7 and softening to 5-6 after several hundred rounds of break-in.

I love how they look, it's just a mini-92FS.

I'm pretty happy with that run
>TFW IP b& and can't post my WebMs

Hey el Burto, you helped me chose my P10C a few months ago and i do love it as a shooter, but my nuts are itching for another gun.

MAC has a sale on LEO tradein 92’s and M&P 9’s. I really like the look of both guns and I know they are both good shooters in their own way - the 92 could be pretty well broken in. I’d probably get an upgraded trigger for the m&p. I just know that good deals are good deals and that I wannanothergat.

Attached: 48B0DBDC-8A30-428A-BA28-E92B4D580CEA.jpg (500x500, 22K)

To add on, I’d also consider saving up for a new 2.0 5in. for the aesthetic.

Whoa

Any recommendations on a good not super expensive owb holster for a Beretta M9A3? My go to safariland model isn’t made for the M9A3

Attached: 273E4540-5575-4881-9D4A-B2410966E86A.jpg (1536x2048, 773K)

Seconding this but for pretty much everything that isn't a Glock (which there are already plenty of pictures of). Is this thing out in the wild in any decent numbers?

All the mainstream brands are good and pretty much all have the same warranty, go with the design of dots/colors you like/shoot best!

I love M&Ps but honestly I'd skip the old M&Ps unless you find one for a CRAZY good deal. Old M&Ps are like $300 but M2.0s are only like $350! Well the 5" FDE one isn't but the normos and Compacts are.

You're kinda spoiled for choice right now with surplus guns too, USPs, 92Ss, 5906s, 4006s, 3913s, M&Ps, Sigs. Got a preference?

Is a UM84 a retarded suggestion?

Attached: m69.jpg (1900x1267, 1.03M)

I'll have a MR73 with Nills grips in a couple years or so for graduation. Currently debating doing a layaway plan for a Bergmann M1910/21. I need to stop impulse buying milsurp and maybe I could afford more nice guns with my shitty income.

No the um84 is my last ditch option, not opposed to it but want to consider other things first. It’s the best one to fall back on

Someone put the guide pdf on a downloadable site please

Now, I never said to call out Burbt when you posted that for me. But it's probably appropriate.

Originally when they announced the M17 I thought it was ugly as hell, but now it's growing on me and I kind of want one. Fuck.

Attached: sig-sauer-p320-m17-pistol-p61744-1.jpg (1000x1000, 107K)

It's still ugly, but the actual M17 the army gets is quite a bit better than the P320 aesthetically.

>I'll have a MR73 with Nills grips in a couple years

I don't know how :(

Holsters are a problem for me, retaliation is impossible

I thought the same thing about the G... Gl..
Glock 19X. God save me.

How reliable are these and do they make good carry guns?

Attached: 09abc0a5a9aded0109880b0215778b62.jpg (1733x1575, 275K)

If someone has the original pdf, or can manage to download it from scribd if they already have an account, they can reupload it to archive.org which lets people read and download it as much as they want for free. Or even google drive or mega.nz or anything without a login/paywall

No

That WebM hurts me. I hope they had fun at least.

Post rare Burts NOW.

Norinco 228 clone user here. ~500 Round mini review. So far I have had no Failures of any kind, trigger is still meh its not bad but its not good, a SIG SRT will be a planed upgrade.
Shoots just as well as my CZ75 or 92s, I can make good hits out to 25m with ease.

The finish on the frame is poor, tooling marks are visible, the slide looks a lot better but its still not as good as a real sig in terms of finish. However besides looking like crap it seems to be good quality steel.

Note, the slide on this clone is of the old style, i.e it has the removable bolt face.

Attached: NP34.jpg (3202x2160, 1.17M)

Fuck me.
The safety plunger I bought for my series 80 slide, Remington r1 hunter 10mm longslide ss, doesn’t fit. What the fuck. I know sometimes you need to hand fit parts but why the fuck would this ever be the case for this specific part?

I just open carried my USP to Walmart but I did it ironically so it's alright.

Cameras want to focus on points of high contrast. When you auto-focus your camera, aim at a spot on your subject which has texture like the grips or a logo but which is at the same depth as your intended focal target, something that isn't one color, and then re-frame the photo as you wish. If your camera has multiple auto-focus sensors or you're using a phone, you can move the focal point without re-framing.

Supposedly not very, I have no personal experience. I heard the CP33, while it had a rocky start, is more reliable than the PM30 now. Just hearsay.

No, .22WM isn't a very good round and the PM30 is a huge honking sucker not very good for carry.

DON'T
DO
IT

Woah, I know it's a clone and all, but the SRT can actually fit in there? That's cool as hecc! Wish we could get those chinkguns here, I'd even take one with the cuckbarrel.

Nah I'm joshing, you leafs are great!

Are you the guy tryna make a series 80 out of a series 70? Did you buy the part from Remington? I guess they changed that part or something, I didn't realize their 1911s were even series 80.

Ok I downloaded the PDF. Where's the best place to permanently host it for free?

Woah I don't know how that got there, I knew I replied to you but the link got ate? Yeah that's your reply there

Attached: gg.jpg (1680x1023, 230K)

Ya
I just decided to exchange my barrel for a 6 inch one and buy a long slide since I could only find a long slide in what I was looking for. It was a Remington slide.

>My JA22 target is front and fucking center
This is my immortality.

I actually like the little unthreaded barrel extensions you guys have, looks neat, like a Beretta 92

I'll grab us food if you give me your card info.

Does anyone actually EDC a P99? Most people go with the PPQ nowadays it seems but I already have a Gl*ck and want to try something new.

The PPQ is a P99

No, it's not. For starters, one is DA/SA. Moron.

>For starters
Well don't leave me hanging, go ahead and name the other differences. The P99 AS isn't da/sa. Do you even know what the P99Q is? Have you even seen what the insides of both look like? I have.
Fucking retard.

>The P99 AS isn't da/sa
Uh, yeah, it is.
>Do you even know what the P99Q
Yes, I do. The police variant. The one that is not DA/SA. I think you don't know what they are and got it backwards, which is pretty funny because you're trying to act like a smug prick.

Apart from the cosmetic differences they're 98% identical on the inside, the only differences are a lack of a DA hook and a new forward set trigger shoe on the PPQ. You can swap the slides and they'll both be fireable.

So you're both right!

>The P99 AS isn't da/sa
Except for that part.

Attached: p99 screws.jpg (2600x1733, 1.24M)

>Except for that part.
My bad, I mixed up the variants.
>*pats your belly*

Bed time for first gun. Never alone when you have a gun anons.

Attached: IMG_20190525_024803.jpg (1440x1080, 254K)

Are 1911s actually shitty?

Is "fitting the extractor" and "polishing the feed ramp" really things you have to do to make them work?

Any decent off the shelf 1911 should work fine. You only need to start fitting shit when you go swapping parts or building a custom one.

Here’s my first handgat

Not bad, could have done worse.

Attached: 20190525_100411.jpg (2560x1440, 1M)

How shitty are arminius revolvers? Thinking about picking a dirt cheap .22 HW9.

Here's a fully ambi 1991 Hi-Power I did some work on.

>Extended ambi slide stop, saftey and mag release
>C&S ejector, hammer, enlarged trigger, sear and sear lever
>Reduced power hammer and trigger spring
>Stoned sear and hammer surfaces
>Tightened slide to frame fit
>Millet adjustable sights
>TIG'd and re-fitted barrel lug
>Pachmayr grips and magazine base plates
>Chrome finish

Absolutely zero play in barrel to slide and slide to frame fit. Did everything I could to lower the trigger pull and it comes in at just under 4lbs with the firing pin block still installed. It's very hard to get a real light trigger out of these because of how the trigger interacts with the sear. Just need to work up the courage to weld on an enlarged bevertail and it will be complete.

Attached: IMAG1103.jpg (2688x1520, 1.86M)

Here's what the beavertail will look like.

Attached: browning-nhp-g10.jpg (1086x610, 674K)

Damn boof, that's cool

Please help me identify a Baretta from memory. I got to shoot this pistol a lot when I was younger. What I remember is it was a Baretta. 380 and it looked like a 92 but was much smaller. It shot like a dream and I've looked in stores for years to find one but I've never seen one again.
Is this discontinued? Or am I just unlucky? I have no idea of the model etc etc.
I appreciate any and all help.

Beretta 84?

Attached: Beretta-84-2-660x495.jpg (660x495, 60K)

Or Model 70?

Attached: wm_1511780.jpg (1280x960, 94K)

Wow! Thanks for the fast reply!! Size seems similar, but I'm pretty certain the slide looked identical to a 92. My family member that bought it at the time said it was a rare find. Sorry I can't help much. Family member and pistol are gone forever.

Holy shit!! That's it!!! THANK YOU!!! I'm going to try and pick one up and make a shadow box for memories. THANK YOU!!!

It's probably my favorite series of handguns, I've owned three different ones over the years.

Attached: 20180211_105908.jpg (2576x1932, 1.62M)

I had one too, a pretty one at that.

Fine gun.

Thinking of picking up a H&K P30L to have a DAO semi instead of another striker. What does Jow Forums think about it?

Attached: p30.jpg (2685x2096, 830K)

speaking of Walthers I am trying to decide between getting a P99AS or a Jericho FS9. Any thoughts on which one to get? This would be for mostly target shooting.
