"religions" are shared belief systems among a group of people. because these belief systems shape how people treat one other and how they process new information the effects are vast.

belief systems cause an ever growing misunderstanding of the universe and it's contents, unless corrected. some belief systems allow more for this correction than others, hence some are worse than others, assuming your goal is an ever greater understanding of our universe and the ever greater capabilities it grants us, ofcourse

it is my finding that the biggest and most terrible belief system is the global one that assumes that government is necessary and good for the progression of our species.it disregards the mechanics we have learned of the evolution of the species of our planet including our own. and it disregards the mounting evidence of the terrible effects of government on our societies.
