How lightweight can you get with innawoods packs? I fractured my spine last year and got away with just muscular pain, but I don't want to completely snap my shit. If you're just taking a sleeping bag, mess kit, compass, map, knife, source of fire is it possible to stay around 10kg pack weight?

I don't think i agree with the surgical tools, if you are brave, a lot of things are just s matter of mechanics to fix. Like findingvthe leaks and stoping them or finding the foreign object, removing it and burning the shit out the infection with iodine. This is more for a shtf or disaster situation where help is a few days or weeks away.

You don't want a layman with no surgery and minimal medical experience to be cutting into someone on the belief they can help if they just believe in themselves. That's just dangerous and stupid.

I could imagine quite a few situations where it's either that or death. So, fuck that, keep surgical tools.

I can imagine many more situations where it makes a survivable situation lethal, so only have it if you actually know what the fuck you're doing.
