The first thing out of Glockfags mouths is usually some bullshit about affordability. Everyone I know that owns a Glock tried to get me to buy one. I am by no means a richfag, but I know how to work hard and save my sheckles.
When it was finally time to spend for a gun all the Glockfags kept throwing out nomenclature at me. Gen this number followed by this other number!!! It was disgusting. I've never held a Glock I've liked. I'm glad I bought a Sig P229, because the month after that I bought a P227. Now all the Glockfags keep trying to shoot my Sigs and I never ask to shoot their Glocks.

If it's a handgun, and it's not Glock - it's shit. Don't buy garbage non-Glock handguns, save up your checks, and get a 50 BMG.

Glocks are the THE generic gun. I don't like the human engineering (grip angle/shape, sights). I shoot SIGs and M&Ps better why spend money on something I have less effectiveness with? Poorfags get a hold of them because there's so many for sale used, and because they're so common that they're commonly stolen by idiots who leave them in the car or don't have a safe at home.

There are cheaper, better options. The glock is overpriced because you pay the cost that LE agencies don't. They pay $280 a piece for glocks, you pay $600, the actual reasonable price they should charge is around $400. But the more LE contracts they win by being cheap for them, the more idiots will buy them because they're so prolific, because all the LEs use them. It's a vicious circle.

I'd definitely buy more Glocks if $400 was their standard price. As it is, for the price you pay, you can get better guns for not much more.
The sheer aftermarket support of Glocks does make them somewhat appealing even at that price, though.

The fact that steel case continues to be produced in large quantities should clue you in that, indeed, plenty of people shoot steel case. While the savings are less than rifle ammo, where the savings will be $700-1000 per 10,000 rounds, you still save $700-800 per 25,000 of 9mm by using steel case. These savings are enough to pay for all sorts of nice aftermarket barrels, triggers, tritium sights, etc. You can save enough money to really pimp out your gun, or even buy a nice optic or even suppressor, by using steel case IF you shoot high volume. If you are just another faggot who buys a $1,200 gun as a weird status symbol of sorts, then only puts a few hundred rounds at most through it per year, then your gun amounts to nothing anyways, because you can't shoot for shit using steel or brass.

I have put maybe 3000 of the cheapest rounds I could buy thru the G19 without any failure. About 600 thru the M&P with no issue either. But I just like it more. I kinda hate used guns too.

My old man was the same way - and hard headed too. I tried taking him out of the M&P but zero luck. I finally drug him to a national forest and set up decent targets. I guided him through a shoot and move with my Glock and his M&P. He now carries the Glock .40 caliber pistol. But you know the universal rule - carry what suits you best.

I am glad I have both and have shot them back to back to compare. The only .40 I have owned was an XD and I had a few cycling problems that I think where magazine issues but I sold that brick anyway.
