Why wouldn’t rotc accept you? My school took everyone that wanted to give it a shot. Not many made it, but a fair few got the chance.

You don't need to get Lasik yourself to go aviation in the Air Force. Your vision just needs to be correctable to 20/20. They'll give you Lasik.

The Navy guy got screwed out of T-45s presumably when it got grounded in 2017 for OBOGS issues. I got into the T-38 track in USAF pilot training but didn't get a fighter as an assignment upon graduation, because there were no fighter slots available for my class.
