This is only appreciated by a very select portion of gun owners; even most shooter types couldn't tell the difference between a Mario at POHF build of a Chinese Type 56 or AK-74M, and a PSA or C39v2.
Fundamentally having a few more exotic imports would be nice - I would LOVE to buy select-fire weapons that roll directly off the production lines alongside the military versions - but it doesn't make up for everything else that you said, like making the NFA tax stamp almost fucking $4000 and limiting what's already a richfag hobby to richfags among richfags.
More stuff like 50-state conceal carry reciprocity (so that I could get a Utah or Arizona non-resident permit and tell California DOJ to eat a dick if I have to ventilate a redguard in Oakland) is really necessary.

Fuck these ideas. New ideas that work outside of the normal, entirely worthless system where the best you can get is losing differently, or nothing. What might be useful is more media and propaganda creation to organize large numbers of people in effective forms of political power. I'm not talking about muh voting either, effective forms of protest. Support lawfare. Show up physically and lobby somehow.
