Jesus fucking Christ, Jow Forums, this is one of the highly trained police officers who are deigned or ordained as suitable to carry a weapon in public in Australia. But don't worry, police weapons are much safer than the ones the filthy public might own.

>The spokeswoman says officers received ongoing firearms training and unintentional discharges are rare.
>"The Glocks used by the QPS are very safe for operational firearms, which differ markedly from sporting weapons," he says.

Commonwealth police still have guns? That won't last long. Rape whistles inbound.

>"The Glocks used by the QPS are very safe for operational firearms, which differ markedly from sporting weapons," he says.
I like how they imply that civilian firearms are inherently unsafe

What did they mean by this? Also

>never mind the sporting pistol shooters who use fucking Glocks

>civilian firearms are inherently unsafe
Technically true since civilian marksmanship is usually better than police. Well, in the US at least.

>The mishap occurred after the junior police offer wrapped a lanyard around the Glock pistol to identify it as hers.

Was she trying to make it fucking look pretty?

Isn’t picrelated their idea of a “civilian” gun?

Here in Queensland to be able to retain my pistols I'm required by law to shoot them in a range at competitions at least six times a year. Police qualify once or twice a year with a course of fire that takes one full magazine to complete. So it would be safe to say it's probably the case down this way too.

No kidding? Guns fire when the trigger is actuated? Guess we can all learn nothing from this beyond the fact that the state holds more liberty than the populace.

probably threw it in the bowl with everyone elses glocks for the swingers draw later on. like how people throw their keys in a bowl

>>her

>double dubs
Checks out

>highly trained police officers

Well they usually issue tickets in large numbers and are well trained in that. Please, if the occasion ever exists where your life depends on a cop shooting someone to save your life, just start praying. Doesn't matter to who/what or why. Hedge your bets and hope someone superextranormal is guiding the bullet.

>"The Glocks used by the QPS are very safe for operational firearms, which differ markedly from sporting weapons," he says.

What the actual FUCK is that even
supposed to mean??
I would take literally anyone from any pistol club in australia and bet money that they would be able to outshoot almost any aussie cop. And some of the people at my club are trash shots.

>we need to ban lever action shotguns!

Even half of Jow Forums considers manual safeties and SA/DA a liability. I don't agree but people seem to think nothing but an easy to pull trigger is perfection.

>I would take literally anyone from any pistol club in australia and bet money that they would be able to outshoot almost any aussie cop. And some of the people at my club are trash shots.

I'm an average pistol shot most of the time and if I've been in practice I can be a reasonably good shot; local SERT came into my range once and while I understand that what they were doing was not slow fire bullseye, I was shooting better groups at 15m than they were at 10m.

>female
>cop
Checks out.

It means the spokeswoman doesn't know what the fuck she's talking about.

Is DA/SA with safety off and hammer down the best carry option?

jesus fucking christ brisfag here. I dont think everyone grasps how fucked insane this is.

Pic related is the pavilion looking over the main arena of the brisbane showgrounds which is notorious for not having enough shade cover. I refuse to believe that there were not people standing under there when this dumb fuck NDed. Keep in mind as well that this is a family event as well.

It was right into the RACQ stand apparently... how the fuck it didn't hit anyone is beyond me.

>womens firearms safety + womens accuracy
Everything sound about right to me

>The mishap occurred after the junior police offer wrapped a lanyard around the Glock pistol to identify it as hers
Well if it's in your holster, it's probably yours. What was it doing out of it's holster at a fair anyways?

To be fair glock leg would never happen if they came with manual safeties. But I also don't see how wrapping a lanyard would make the gun go off unless it went through the trigger guard...

>unless it went through the trigger guard...

omg this lol

>wrapped a lanyard around the Glock pistol to identify it as hers
You know, in case she leaves it somewhere.

YOU KNOW she must have wrapped it inside the trigger guard. Unbeleviably stupid move.

>being this new
lurk more

i'll guess she tied it in the trigger guard and on return to the holster the part that would hang out got between the trigger and holster.
what im saying is she's a retard

>the junior police offer wrapped a lanyard around the Glock pistol to identify it as hers.
Why couldn't she just memorize the last few digits of the serial number?

>What the actual FUCK is that even supposed to mean??
Hail Cucklandia the sun never sets on britannistan

I'm going to be unsurprised if she was trying to make the fucking thing look pretty.
