Started CCW process in CA, is this a solid carry pistol?

Since I'm in this faggoty illegal alien shithole my pistol options are limited. Don't like Glocks, can't get an M&P compact.
CZ 75 p-01 is on the list, currently on sale for $550 locally. Anything I'm missing?

Great gun.

m&p shield 9mm

It's on the roster, reliable, and you can find it for a good deal sometimes

stop being a pussy and just carry a full size D.EAGLE

you’ll never be approved

I hate the idea of paying for a gimped model (safety, chamber indicator) a generation old for more than a brand new 2.0. I'd want the .45 for a single stack, too.

I keep that one in my butt. No way I'm telling the fucking Man about that, one. Deep concealment best concealment.

My county has a decent issue percentage.

>cannot unsee
So close, yet so far.

Pretty much this op. Make sure it has the decocker and not the gay manual safety

>I hate the idea of paying for a gimped model (safety, chamber indicator) a generation old for more than a brand new 2.0. I'd want the .45 for a single stack, too.
pretty sure all new czs in ca are gimped too with the hideous lci

Which county?

....huh?

Definitely. Decocker, and getting used to the long, heavy pull. I THINK you can carry partially cocked safely, but I'm not starting with that. Need to learn it in and out.
Cool. This is encouraging. This is making me more comfortable spending so much. Seems to retain value, too.

North or South of LA?

If you don't want a chamber indicator or manual safety, you're limiting yourself to stuff like Kahr.

Double-stack sized pistols are a waste of weight and size for CC in CA, unless you acquired big boy mags during freedom week.

You're better off not knowing/seeing, go with god my son.

San Diego

I acquired hundreds of every model's standard capacity magazines totally for sure.

I carried one milled for a Leupold DPP and a X300U underneath for two years, and absolutely loved it. Do have a spare slide stop, trigger return springs, and recoil spring assembly because all the dry and live fire you'll be doing with your carry gun will wear them out.
I switched to a Roland Special because there was a suitable comp to balance out the X300U.

>San Diego
>likely to issue CCW

since when?

Past year or two.

Thanks for the tip! That looks fancy, but I am much too poor afford that. I am a some man, with simple pleasures.

No shit? After all that nonsense with the asshole sheriff going to the mat against easing CCW issuance, I figured the worst.

I'm and can say I shot far, far better in decocked DA before I got the flitz and dremel polish wheel out. My party trick when shooting with friends would be to bust out the clay pigeons, have them struggle at 10 yards with DA, just for me to one-shot clay pigeons at 50, or on two outings, 100 yards. Part of my new affinity with the Roland Special is the consistent glock striker trigger pull. I have a S&W 626 I spent hours upon hours on doing a trigger job, and that DA is absolute sex, I vastly prefer the DA over SA. I haven't looked into it too deeply, but apparently the fags at Primary and Secondary referenced some writings about the superiority of DA over SA shooting.
My reccomendation still stands: good gun and make sure to dry fire dry fire dry fire. Watch a bunch of jewtube vidyas, buy some cajun gunworks parts, and bust out dat flitz and polish wheel.

Don't worry about the money, worry about what's important in your life. I do commend your choice in an excellent gat piece, however.
Yeah, I pieced my Roland Special together with 4th of July sales for the milling from Primary Machine (I think they did my CZ P-01 DPP) and just finding the dealz. I got my RS together for just over $1,400, fuck buying the 2300 ATEI one dawg.
I carried my CZ with just irons for the first 8 months, and can say the stock sights will serve you well. My gun is on whenever I carry a belt, and would suggest to you buying tritium sights, a streamlight TLR7 (flush fit on the P01) or preferably both and a holster that will fit the p01+streamlight. It's dark half the time and nogs blend into the night. Something I mastered with the first handgun I got when I was 12 (A Metro Arms Commander 1911) was recognizing what the outline of the gun looks like under low-light so you can somewhat fire the gun without lights or tritium and try and hit what you're aiming at.

I look forward to figuring out what I gotta polish!

Attached: IMG_20190816_205403.jpg (4048x3036, 3.56M)

Definitely plan on tritium sights, and I was.looking at that ultra slim O Light. I'll check out the streamlight.
This something that I will be protecting my life, along with the lives of everyone else around me. I don't want to cheap out, and I need to make sure it's a tool I feel comfortable with. I'd love a M&P, but it's not in the cards for now.

Where did you find it for 550?
I just got mine in Burbank for 630

LGS in San Diego.

>San Diego
literally had a cop pull a gun on me while on vacation there, fuck that whole state

there are no new CZ's in CA.
The roster's latest addition includes microstamping requirement, that pretty much killed off the small trickle.
I think the newest CZ model in CA roster is the P-01. Which I picked up a few years ago. Don't know if CZ allowed it to drop off the list since then.

If I was restricted to 10 rounds and wanted a CZ, I'd get a CZ 97 or a PPQ in .45 ACP. Actually, best would be a 10mm 1911.

Not a chance. The sheriff is a grabber piece of shit. Unless you’re getting your permit from one of the cities? I haven’t heard of any CLEOs in SD county being unusually permissive, though.

Remember that Diane Feinstein was one of less than 10 who had a CCW permit in her county

I finally got a PCR last month, fucking excellent pistol and carries better than a gun of its size should. If I wasn't panic-buying more ARs, mag and ammo I'd have it at Cajun Gun Works right now for the complete package.

Don't worry, it's fucking itself nicely. The only problem is Californians fleeing the consequences of their own politics then voting for the exact same shit elsewhere.

Meant new as in made this year. All the new p01s have a lci the older ones dont.

Excellent choice. I am about to buy a p09 myself.

How often do you fellate the local sheriff??? This is important.

BULL FUCKING SHIT.

>pretty sure all new czs in ca are gimped too with the hideous lci
false, external extractor counts as LCI, at least with what I've see / used.
'safe handgun list' is still mad bs

Look in to the HK P2000sk V2 and Glock 26. I know you don't like them and I generally avoid Glocks as well but the G26 is the exception.
Awesome little guy.

I dunno all the czs in 3 different gunstores i frequent have lci. havent seen a new no lci cz in a store in ca for years now.

>tfw new riverside sheriff is all for ccw permits

Attached: dogosmug.jpg (392x508, 47K)

These were the two options I was considering, then my grandpa from AZ gifted me a p365. If you have a parent/grandparent out of state, they can buy whatever you want and then give it to you as a gift

Its a great choice, and very safe. People will tell you its heavy compared to the Glock 19, but you have to consider the weight of pistol+14 rounds+holster. When you take that into the account, its only about 10% heavier as a package. That being said, its no pocket blaster, you will really have to be a "carry guy" to EDC that gun. Most people will recommend that size of gun, but carry a pocket pistol in reality.

I doubt it.

I think I have an OK chance. Work somewhere that gets threats (cable company). Scared someone will try something, and show up in our parking lot.

Hit us with that story user

Hahahahahahah
San Diego native here.
Ya this is a bullshit thread.
OP, at least do some research before you post a bait thread...

Yeah, it's good, but aren't they going off roster in under a year with the current laws?

It does in January, but I'm looking to buy by the end of the month.

How is the chart, and recent stories from people that got CCW recently bait? Especially since all I asked was about the quality of the gun I have in mind?

everything is always going off roster in under a year cause they can only be renewed for a year. people use this to jack up prices and scare people.
its going to be renewed like a week before it expires unless the company that makes the gun is dead.

yeah, but their next renewal will require microstamping, and they explicitly said they were NOPE'ing out of the CA market after that.

Who told you that? Cause if that was true everygun on the roster would be fucked and calguns would be crying bloody murder since everything would be off roster. It wouldnt only effect cz.

>CA
rip op. Also, go and stay go

CZ is one of the greatest handgun manufacturers in the universe. It will serve you well.

try not to use your job as a justification. I made that mistake and my (San Diego) CCW is contingent on my staying at my current place of employment.

You may be a native, but you haven't kept up on shit. SDCGO opened it up and now not only is SD issuing, but the sheriff has devoted more people to process the applications. Mine took 7 months. My co-worker finished in 3.

>> I hate the idea of paying for a gimped model (safety, chamber indicator) a generation old for more than a brand new 2.0.

you can youtube the mag safety disconnect removal. Takes 20 minutes to remove

there are after market LCIs to unfuck the ugly one

As for the safety, don't use it if you don't like it There might be a youtube on removal as well, but I kept mine

Post a throwaway if you ever feel like shooting

Get a Cajun Pro package with it assuming you haven't got a case of the poors. Also good sights, stock sights are shit, mustard yellow.

nigga you dumb as fuck. obviously you didnt do jack shit for research, san diego is a no issue county unless you are some pedowood millionaire celeb or a 9th circus anti-Trump judge

why would she need to carry a gun? her weapons of war have no place on our streets

Just got mine San Diego. I've got a Shield, Glock 19 and a S&W 642. I almost exclusively carry a shield. I think the P-01 would be uncomfortable.
Most counties actually are shall-issue. It's just the commie shitholes that aren't.
Since Gore failed to secure the Women's Republican Caucus endorsement in the last election and his opponent ran on a shall-issue platform (source: I volunteer for the Rep. party here)
You're an idiot and don't know what you're talking about.
Ibid.
Ibid.
Sheriff literally has a CCW Permit counter on the website now. Do some damn research.
Ibid.

San Diego is not shall-issue. You need to have just cause. My "just cause" was that I hunt at night and transport firearms in my vehicle to and from hunting stands. That was it. Nothing special to it at all. A friend got his because he does mobile auto repair and carries ~$1,000 worth of tools in his vehicle at any given time.

Also if you're denied, just appeal. The clerk will tell you that when you apply. They don't want to risk another lawsuit so if you appeal, it's basically a guarantee issue (unless you're a prohibited person or put your reason as "self-defense")

Also keep in mind they email your approval so once you get through the interview process (which took me 9 months) you'll get an email within 90 days of the last interview telling you whether you're approved or denied. The email will also have a list of people to take the course from. You'll have 30 days from approval to get a course completed and make another appointment at the Sheriff's. That last appointment is super easy though. They now have two full-time employees solely doing approvals for CCW and you basically show up with the course completion certificate and they issue you the permit right then and there. Takes like 15 minutes.

Really? I thought the entire reason glock still makes an untouched gen 3 is because of CA roster. I might be wrong, but doesn't the roster require a re-evaluation (with all new restrictions applying) if the manufacturer makes changes to the gun design?

As someone that owns a mp shield in 9mm.
Dont buy an mp shield

I like mine and it's been reliable (now at 800 or so rounds). What don't you like about it?

The only good costal city in this god forsaken shithole

Amazing how much you don't know about a state you don't care to know about. Please leave. Threads full

Why not?

If 2075 Rami is on the roster get that
Its smaller
Good thing about either of them is you can use any CZ 75 mag even the 26 round ones
Another user suggested P2000SK
I have one and its great
It can use 15 round P30 mags, though I usually use the 13 round ones from my USP Compact
Pic related was my 2075
I traded it for the P2000SK only because it didnt have a decocker
Im gonna get one again.

Attached: CZ 2075 Rami.jpg (4608x3456, 2.4M)

Califag here currently carry a Cajunized P-01, best handgun I’ve ever shot hands down.

>You're an idiot and don't know what you're talking about.
I’m going off of what the counter guy at RDL Tactical in Escondido told me when we dropped in to get a holster for my wife’s CCW. First we’d tried Dicks a couple blocks away, found out they carried nothing CCW related whatsoever. Then they escorted us to the door.

Humboldt is shall issue, dipshit. We can actually buy CCW accessories at Ace Hardware without triggering a panic. Now, if things have loosened up in the 18 months since I was last there, more power to you.

>Amazing how much you don't know about a state you don't care to know about.
Born in what used to be Palomar Hospital, now Palomar Medical Center, and have lived in this state my whole life. Except for a few deployments. How about you dial back on being an arrogant, abrasive asshole?

I’ll stop being an asshole when assholes do their homework.

>> OP says he’s applying for CCW
>> people say nope
>> OP provides website
>> people say nope

Either:
1. My comment wasn’t meant for you or
2. You aren’t doing your homework

>"self-defense"
thats literally the justest cause there is. $1,000 worth of tools in your car is not "just cause" because you cant shoot people in defense of property in california. dont be dumb and fall into their antigun semantics game

you put "self defense" and then you sue if you get denied. thats it

>initial
>2/6/2019
>trying to brag to the guy with a california permit since the 1990s
amazing how much you dont know about life in general you dumb millennial

>First we’d tried Dicks

i bet your wife tries it without you there all the time. do not shop at dicks you dick. they are as anti-american as a company can get

Attached: 1565817714509.jpg (999x973, 120K)

>do not shop at dicks you dick. they are as anti-american as a company can get
Well pardon the fuck out of me, Sparky. Only thing we have in my neck of the woods is Big 5 and Walmart, plus a scattering of lgs’s. I’m used to Ace Hardware selling guns and ammo, so when I see a sporting goods store I’m going to assume they sell gun trinkets. There’s a huge ideological split between Norcal and Socal. Jefferson can’t happen soon enough.

You gave me a (you) in your comment, and my comment was based on info from a lgs employee and Calguns forum threads. Excuse the living fuck out of me for not constantly monitoring the political scene down there from 700 miles away, so I’ll be fully up to speed when I make my annual pilgrimage to visit family.

>THAT FUCKING CZ FRAME GAP REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
If CZ could fix that shit slide/frame machining it would be perfect.

Attached: 15z_CZP01_L_91199_01199.png (1920x1515, 814K)

Not OP but Shield's are unreliable and have garbage triggers. 2.0's are a little better but aside from ergo's, the guns are trash.

Initial point still stands. You don’t know shit about SD CCW. Must suck to be a fudd whose had had his CCW since the 90’s getting schooled in CCW by a milenial whose only had it a few months.

Might be time to turn yours in grandpa

Don’t know which poster you were, but I’m just saying when someone spoon feeds you a link saying it’s changed, do the homework.

>There’s a huge ideological split between Norcal and Socal. Jefferson can’t happen soon enough.

based and california pilled

Been carrying it everyday for a year. Yes.

I am from the future OP you will be denied.

you dont need a permit to carry if you live in america, the constitution preempts state laws. as long as you stay on our side of mexico you are good to go

Attached: sc_orig.png (1200x630, 960K)

I heard they recently started issuing more than usual. Based on what GunGuyTV said. Hes in El Cajon.

See you at p2k.
