al nusra was actual Al Qaeda. When they became HTS they officially disavowed Al Qaeda ties. Al qaeda disavows HTS and says that they have strayed from the path of jihad. You are right though, they broke ties to receive, not US/CIA, but mostly Saudi and UAE weapons/atgms.Hence the "Moderate Al Qaeda"

Just now SAA started to advance on the rebels since the rebels always ignored the ceasefire agreements. There's also fighting in the north between Kurds and Turkish backed rebels and the rebels killing themselves inside Idlib.

There was all kinds of goofy DIY-weapons, all sorts of ingenious tactics tried, islamists hell bent on dying doing frontal assaults spitting at deaths face. Now it looks mostly like a group of eight exhausted fighters shooting at desert trying their best not to get killed at the last moments of the war, which is understandable, but it just ain't what it was.
