Alright, time to settle it once and for all, what's the best .22 of all time? Pistol, rifle, pipe and metalworking piece, whatever

not that one

You more of a Ruger 10-22 guy?

Doesn't really matter, 22 fagrifle is such a gay useless pellet gun tier round that even in a fun action like a lever gun or SAA, it's boring as fuck.

It's also cheap as hell, which is pretty good for a poorfag like me

that one

You seem like the kind of person that when you eventually get your cock sucked, you'll complain about it.

>op only said .22 but your associating all .22 calibers with just one
are you finished with your hissy-fit yet? seems there's only one fag in this thread so far

since you nards are already all butthurt i guess i'll nominate the 22/45

it’s somehow even more picky about ammo than the 10/22. love it though

agreed on the 22/45. but i'm curious as to what issues you've experienced with the 10/22. maybe i don't shoot mine near enough, but they both run pretty smooth. i've been shooting out of a bucket of remington yellow jacket i bought probably 20 years ago.

sales numbers disagree, but okay.

the magazines do not handle HP ammo well. they get squished instead of properly feeding.

Its pretty decent. Heavy barrel with specially cut rifling for accuracy. Feeds whatever you put in it. Install a sling stud and add a bipod and youve got a good poorfag precision training rig. If you dont like the tube mag theres always the 795

you reckon there's a difference in followers that causes this? i have a bunch of the clear mags with the red internals. think they were OEM at one point in time

I changed a lot of stuff on my 10/22 and probably would just have assembled one from scratch if I had to do it over again. The are retardedly easy to work on.

what's a good 10/22 receiver to start with?

If it was me I'd get a Nodak Spud but that's kinda overkill. There are hundreds of 10/22 builds on youtube from scratch.

kidd is the best if you have the cheese

>It's also cheap as hell, which is pretty good for a poorfag like me

Price per foot pounds 9mm is probably the cheapest or even .308

those are discontinued dude

price per ft/lb is not how you measure cheapest.

there's a perfectly good .22 thread here you guys are all elsewhere arguing orange man, aren't you?

Im considering buying a cz 457 varmint in the near future. Does anyone have one who can tell me if its a good buy? Is there a reason they seem to be out of stock almost everywhere?

>b-but the 10/22 is the best as long as you replace every single part on it

I have a 455 and really like it, you should enjoy the 457. It’s hefty and reliable, bolt moves smoothly without being jiggly, and it looks very nice. I have 10/22s but the whole family prefers the bolt rifle for plinking.
