I want to become Navy so I can be stationed in Guam. Does Jow Forums have any pointers?

Remember to trust everything your recruiter says. If they say they can get you to Guam no problem, it's the truth. If they say you'll be laser-fucking space aliens in your MJOLNIR Mk IV armor, then by god strap up and get ready to merc some space pussies.

Aviation rating, typicaly the biot is female sea time, go airman rating, make top 3 of your class, then dream sheet it, it counts as sea time (old navy joke was Guam was an acronym for "give up and masturbate" although they do have gentleman clubs now (good luck)

Guam sucks. Worst fucking Hard Rock Cafe ever. Xenomorph and Predator statues were cool, but the food and service were hot garbage.

A “rate” is your job field in the Navy. There are no rates that are exclusively going to send you to Guam. You will likely sit in Norfolk or San Diego hating life and pretending to chip paint while at sea.

Dumb dipshit, you're sent where they want you, not where you want to go. You're basically a prisoner who's expected to do what they're told and to die, if necessary.

I actually know of a way but it requires a lot of effort, isn't a guarantee and it isn't even possible for everyone. Tell your recruiter you want to be a CTI, those are our lingists which means you have to go to language school which is generally one of the hardest A schools we have. You will need to take a test called the DLAB which measures your ability to learn languages, and you need both a good score on that and a decent ASVAB score(most liguists I know get >90 but there are some guys who do well that get 70s). During boot you get asked which language you want to learn, at this point you need to ask for Korean as your first choice. If you are lucky they'll have slots, if you're not you might have an oppourtunity after boot to either switch with another guy to get into Korean or just drop your current language and wait until the next class picks up, I knew a guy who got the language he wanted with the second method. Once class starts the better your GPA and the better your final test score the better chances you have of getting a direct support billet which is the most surefire way I can think of to get stationed in Guam.

Go army, 25S, opt for 1C, call branch and request Guam every week until something opens up, then sit your ass in the office answering calls from Korea and telling them we can't see you due to inclement weather and get them chewed out by their higher ups JUST FUCKING POWER BALANCE WITH ME OUR SHOT WILL BE THE ONE THAT PIERCES THE HEAVENS

If OP's greater goal is to fight the Chinese instead of going to Guam then he should replace my advice with Chinese and then he can also get stationed in Hawaii.
