Anything from AK-12s to Ruger Mini-14s. Assault rifles, service rifles, carbines, or not. Call it what you want, if it fires an intermediate power cartridge it's welcome here.
Battle rifles stay out.
What rifle are you most looking forward to picking up? What's next on your list? For me, it's the IWI Carmel.
Not that user, but they’ve been around for a few years. People seem to love their rifles. If you’re more than remotely interested in firearms you’ve probably heard of them. Basically an AK if it were made today.
One day I will have my baby in my arms and I will cry pure tears of joy for the years I've longed for it and struggled and saved and been disallowed by the state to be with it and it will all be worth it in that instant.
Anyone here have experience with the CZ 805 carbines? I'm currently building my first AR but there's a little voice in my head that keeps saying "you can pick up a used CZ for the same price" and it really tingles my dumb hipster autism. I'll probably end up getting on in a year or two once i'm done with the AR build and have gotten a few other funs in between.
The AUG's piston is located on the side rather than above. Stoner direct impingement with bullpups would be rather unpleasant.

It’s funny. I hear people say that the G36, SCAR, ACR, APC, etc etc are AR18 derived actions when it seems to me that very few components are even close.
Meanwhile the AUG is substantially similar to the AR18 in that its bolt carrier is essentially an upside down AR18 bolt carrier with two guide rods, but in the front, one of which is the gas piston.

Have you already ordered any parts for the AR? Personally I'd tell someone to start out with an AR to see if they like the caliber and then move on to more exotic things like SCARs or FS2000s if they really want to.
Something even better to consider is finding a rental range that has an AR and a Bren, if you can. If there aren't any ranges that have a Bren you might be able to find a shop simply selling one. Getting some actual hands on experience should give you a better idea of what you want.

Yes. They’re heavy. Like 8.5lbs. So 2+ lbs more than a good AR setup. No bolt release even though it has a BHO.
The trigger is absolutely excellent. Even with the super trigger, accuracy is Good, not excellent. I’d say 1.5 MOA... which is still fine.
The Bren2 looks to be the one to have. Non reciprocating charging handle, they shed 2lbs off the weight. Bolt release. Better stock options.
I've just got the lower, and I'd love to find a place to rent a Bren but I can't even find a gun store selling one, they aren't exactly common.
Thanks, I'll keep an eye on the Bren 2 once they start selling rifles instead of just pistols.

Browsing these shit threads inspired me to broaden my horizons, desu. I used my Googlefu for "guns that aren't grandpa's guns" and came across several different unknown brands and looked up reviews on jootube, which in turn led me to MORE unorthodox guns, until I stumbled across it. Amazing what you find when you go digging
The "literally who" meme is a shitty /leftypol/ glownigger meme meant to fearmonger zoomer samefags into regurgitating worn mainstream boomer platitudes ie "AK and AR foevah, don't buy anything else" among many, many other old wife's tales.
The pistols they brought in were basically contract overrun. Only 300 made it in that way. They’re going to release a serial production Bren 2 with the “ms” moniker. It’s slightly different than the military Bren 2 (like the pistols that came in) in that it will have a modular forend, but other than that it’s basically the same gun. Rumor is next spring they’ll start being available.

Jesus christ it's like someone fed every buzzword from Jow Forums into a fucking bot. Bonus point for a completely unrelated "MUH JOOZ" image.
AK and AR are the go to platforms because they work, and they have a shitload of aftermarket support.
What the fuck do boomers have to do with it?
