I recently needed to pick up a gun for home defense as my neighborhood slid down the shitter over the last 18 months. my girl Heahter Mason out of Silent Hill 3 packed a 92fs so naturally on rental day I put that on top of the list, needless to say it beat out the other choices. still need to get the grips changed out though.

I want to get a brace of Italian reproduction Dragoons and compete in cowboy action shooting under the alias "Rooster Sauceburn."

Put a bid in for an M1903 Springfield because I obsessively played Medal of Honor: Frontline as a kid

The Wilson Combat Ultra Thin Grips do wonders if you're a fellow handlet. Swapping the grips and installing a d-spring makes it feel and handle like different pistol entirely imo.

while I have smaller hands than most (pps m2 with the 6 round mag fits comfortably in my hand with very little pinky overhang) the 92 isn't too large that I can't grip comfortably though I'll keep them in mind.

I always liked the C96 "Broomhandle" as a kid, but the Red 9 in Resident Evil 4 made me fall in love with it. That thing was an absolute beast when fully upgraded. Sure the stock took a lot of room out of your inventory, but the gun could handle all but the strongest enemies.

I still haven't gotten my hands on one IRL yet (the only ones I've ran into locally are either way overpriced or in horrible shape), but I will someday!

I bought an AR-180 after I saw The Terminator.

Rally Vincent sold me on CZ 75's, but I wanted something a smidge nicer. Picked up my Omega for about 400 at a pawn shop. Thing was only a year old at the time judging by the date stamped in it, two now, and couldn't have had more than maybe 1000 rounds through it. I'll post my 1903 later. Don't feel like getting outta bed because confy.

Bought my PX4 for ghost recon advanced warfighter 2 (settled for 9 since couldn't find a 45, plus more boolits)
Tried to hunt down the Rx4 and glad I didn't since the aftermarket sucks dick and they only give you a single 10 rounder for it (I still want it)
KSG because of killing floor (held it at gunstore and thought "how the fuck would a magazine work for this?)
Winchester 1897 because I love external hammers, slamfire, and many cowboy games and movies

Red 9 C96's are extremely difficult to find.
If your ok with 7.63x25 you can find quite a lot of them albeit yes kind of on the expensive side. Most pop up around the low 900s if youre looking hard enough

My first and so far only Spaghett blaster purchase was mostly motivated by the original RE from 1996. I call her Valentine.

That being said, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, The Rock and others also contributed to its allure for me.

I cant believe a sexy choco anime girl/shotgun was enough to make me impulse buy a saiga 12 at my lgs instead of an m1897 id been eyeing for a month.
I even added an ACE stock and tapco saw grip so it looks just like the in game one.

Make sure you don't get a repro, they are worth far less than originals, but fudds at gun shows will try to pass them off as the real thing.
Also, low number M1903s have issues with the heat treat (boom), M1903A3s don't have this issue.

Last year I was working a ton of overtime and this was a splurge. I had been replaying alot of MW2 and life was not complete without one of the subguns from the game. This was the most practical.
