Never liked that old dog anyway
fucking atf keeping us from having nice things without paying their gay tax and getting a permission slip to move it between state lines
bp. get it shipped to your door.
Ideally it would be a cartridge gun, but guess why we cant have that
So when are they selling the conversion kit to centerfire smokeless?
This
If you’re savvy you could DIY that
>tfw doubles as pistol shotgun AND smokescreen
You do know black powder cartridges are a thing, right?
*fractures wrist*
Nothing personal, kid.
>You do know black powder cartridges are a thing, right?
You are confusing black powder with muzzleloaders. Black powder is not a loophole for the NFA. Being a *muzzleloader*, or being older than 1899, would be. OP's gun is exempt because it's a muzzleloader.
There do exist some cartridge-firing pistols sort of like this which are exempt from firearms laws due to their age. However, they (Howdah pistols) are also crazy expensive collector's items. If you've got $27,000 lying around you could buy pic related with zero paperwork.
toss some Mg turnings in with the powder and deal fire damage
What's the failure to fire rate on blackpowder guns like this? That's the only thing that would keep me from getting one.
that's a modern "inline" design and uses #209 shotgun primers. They are highly reliable. The only concerns I could see would be if you somehow got the powder wet, or if you fired it a lot without cleaning it.
You are incredably retarded
I started to actually consider one of these because I need to sooth my autistic desire for a shotgun pistol. I have even fired several and know them to he shit to fire
In any case, you could literally form 1 an sbs single barrel or maybe even side by side for about the same price.
Shit to fire: how so? Excessive recoil? Come on user, use your words. What did you dislike and why?
>>excessive recoil complaints for a muzzleloader
dear lord, just put less powder in it.
iknorite? Hence why I wanted him to tell me why it was shit to fire. I am genuinely interested in getting one for the lulz but if there's some defect/drawback I'd like to know.. I don't mind stout recoil.
Too hard to keep a grip on. They're shit because you're going to end up with a bloody nose. I always did. Just file the form and make a sbs or buy one. These are too much, I'm telling you.
Hmm. Grip tape or perhaps replace the grip with a different type? Since it's wood I assume it wouldn't be that hard to make a birds-head style grip.
Thanks for the input though. Gonna look into it some more.
Too bad those are a scam and not a single person who ordered one actually received it. I was really excited when I saw the Bulldog (the 11" barrel version with traditional exposed hammers).
>shit to fire
There is no good way to hold then. It's an extremely awkward hold and difficult to aim and recoil is downright unpleasant with standard loads. You could lighten those loads to cross that problem but they are still unwieldy. A shot a Surbu conversion and a side by side. The surbu was easier to handle but harder to aim. The side by side pistol could be aimed kind of like a pistol but the recoil was sharp and it was disproportionally flippy. Still might make one if I find the right donor gun.
In practice it is.
Honestly the only thing keeping me from breaking their laws is their gun to my dogs and families head.
if you really wanted to ride the unicycle then pinfire is your friend
