Springfield Armory MC Operator. An operator or TRP is pretty much the pinnacle of a 1911.

anyone know a nice full size 1911 I can get and have engraved for around 1000$? My best friend's birthday has been coming up and he's always loved the damn things.

Nice. I'd also have accepted a Remington R1 or Springfield Mil-spec.

Just picked this absolute unit up today.

Smithn Wesson has a nice engraved 1911 on grab a gun. Damn you must really care about your friend if you're gonna buy him a 1921 around 1000

GI is best 1911.

> no plastic, cast or MIM

Man I've been looking for a blued Delta Elite forever and I can't find one for the life of me. that's a beautiful one by the way.

Thanks man, cant believe the deal I got, gander had it and they were doing their 20 percent off any 1 item thing for labor day, I figured it wouldn't apply to used guns but I asked anyway and they said sure, took it home for $704.

Fuck that is a good deal.

Springfield TRP RMR in 10mm

impeccable taste

Is Springfield still not liked around here? Their 1911s seem decent.

They are incredible. Not up to STI but pretty damn close.

i have their parkerized 1911 loaded and like it a lot. no issues and runs well. try to get mags with the same type of follower as pmags, instead of the two prong one. i have issues with their mags that the follower warps and gets stuck on the lip of the mag.

the .45 kine that likes leather

I see, you're also a man of class and culture. I bet you drive stick and eat chia seeds for breakfast.

TRP operator because I'm a tryhard

How do you like your Staccato P? I shot a 5" STI that an LAPD officer bought from their LAPRAC gunstore. Felt like I was shooting a futuristic blaster, completely sold me on 9mm 2011s.

Those tool marks are worse than my RIA.

if I wanted to engrave a 1911, whats the least expensive option for me?

same as my pic, ornate style I guess you'd call it

nice futon faggot

Neat, you gonna get any low key weeb shit engraved on it?

This accurate little shit

Attached: thisismadness-1.jpg (1732x1154, 294K)

Engravings give you no tactical advantage whatsoever. Unless you were lookint to auction it off as a collector's item.

>mfw too poor for a 1911
A clerk innastore said the manufacturers mark them up so high simply because they can (in other words, it has nothing to do with the production costs of the guns). Is that true?

Attached: image-tcHELd.png (700x739, 345K)

no. it's because they are hand fit, not stamped out like slavshit

you can't afford a $400 rock island?

None yet but I owned a remington r1 a while back. It shot steel fine, might get another one just for a beater

OK sheriff longmire, calm down

Get a time machine and put in an order for the Colt custom shop when they were actually good.

Buy a Citadel or RIA, you can eat ramen for a couple months to get $400-500.

How are Sig’s 1911? I’m peeping a TacOps in 10mm.

they don't fit regular 1911 holsters, if that matters to you
other than that they seem ok, if a bit over priced

Thanks for the info. Didn’t know that about the holsters.

Dan Wesson Specialist

It feels like aimbot. The first time I held it I technically had a downrange ND because of the incredible trigger on it.

thoughts on 9mm commander ones?

This sexy little slut that I keep posting since it’s my only gun, want to buy a new one soon though. Something higher than 22lr.

Attached: image.jpg (4032x3024, 2.52M)

fine. better off with a .45, but shoot what you can hit with

nah, I just want a really fancy 1911 like the one I saw in Titanic

Attached: 800px-Titanic-1911c.jpg (800x340, 78K)

So, Jow Forums, what is your stance on the idiot mark? Standard mistake? Sign of someone who doesn't know what the fuck they're doing?

SIG 1911 XO black.
I like it. It rarely jams. Never jams with the mags with tilt free followers, only with the stamped followers, and even that is rare.

Shoots like a dream. Put some trijicon HD sights on it and I had to go back to the store that put them on for me to thank them for doing such a good job. Bullet goes where I expect.

I have this old thing. It's a parts gun, not really collectible but it looks the... part, if you'll pardon the joke. Parts range from WWI to the 1970's. It shoots pretty well. Better than I do anyway.

Attached: m1911onfern.jpg (922x692, 458K)

Neither do dragon dildos or obsolete nuggets offer yet Jow Forums insists on owning them.
Also actually when you think about it engraving your gun does make it slightly lighter.

>nah, I just want a really fancy 1911
You do you user but I believe you could still have it be fancy and still contain something like pic related.
I hope you'll consider it, everyone needs at least one meme firearm.

Attached: Sweet dreams Holo.jpg (500x455, 69K)

fuck you faggot, its in my loft for guests

shit bro. looks great
what grip combination do you have and is that a wilson mag extension?

I think it's probably their first 1911 if I see it. Or they just don't care, which is not a nice thing.

You kidding? The patina on that thing is fantastic.

Buy an RIA or Auto Ordnance for like 500 and if it gives you trouble buy a Wilson Combat or other aftermarket extractor.
Around the same quality as other 1911s in their price range.

A 9mm double stack that cost to much to have some guy hand assemble out of parts I bought like a ree-ree.

Attached: 20190209_195714.jpg (3264x1836, 2.45M)

Dubs are a lie. If you are paying anything over $800 for a sig you are getting jawed. They tolerance stack and use MIM parts.

>t. Faggot who's friend used to work test fitting slide to frame to barrel fitment.

Do you shoot competitions or are you just autistic?

Wanted to build my.own, since non 2011 versions are retarded big and they didn't have the features I wanted, had extra cash flow but not the time to pull the quality I wanted off so decided to pay the extra to have fusion complete it.

The gun is good for competing but it's a bit disadvantaged for unlimited if I'm forced to go that route.
Aluminum frame, cut to fit the slides stirrups, tri-topped and lightening cut slide, aluminum guide rod etc.

When it comes time to have her tuned up I'm getting the top of the slide serrated to reduce sun reflection (and it looks like), along with the bull barrel fluted to shave an extra .2 of an ounce but only under the slide so it's hidden, maybe have the trigger weight brought up since she's sitting at 2.9lbs.

Muzzle of the slide is already worn from holsters and the magwell is scratched up from missed reloads when practicing so she'll also get new coatings.

About 4.6K rounds so far.

And I'm changing the front sight, been playing with different ones and have found something more in tuned to my sight picture preference with my eyes.

With how you have it now you could shoot limited in USPSA, it would be a really good gun for that.

that's the one to buy

Attached: IMG_9010.jpg (3264x2448, 2.68M)

The m1911 platform is out dated trash.

>it sux coz its old

Attached: 1566363293636.jpg (329x399, 20K)

What's the idiot mark

Maybe he's referring to the slide bite?

Yup because there are far better pistols that aren't fuck huge single stacks chambered in the same .45 ACP. And only fools buy a 1911 in any other caliber other than .45 ACP.

It's common for 1911 owners to make a mistake when reassembling their 1911's in attempting to force the slide lock back into the frame. It's not uncommon for them to accidentally force the lever up or down because it isn't positioned correctly, or in the instance of springfield 1911's, they slide lock is against a plunger that's sticking out further than it's supposed to, and they haven't bothered to fix this. This usually results in a perfectly round scratch across either the slide or the frame. sometimes both.

Realistically RIA because
>lolpoor
>justasgood

>far better
Find me a better trigger, user.
>doublestack
R1 doublestack, STI makes one, the market isnt ak skinny CC guns anymore
>only fools buy anything other than 45
>delta elite exists
>45 derived magnum rounds exist

noguns spotted

RIA 10mm
>10mm masterrace

WHAT FUCKING GRIP IS THAT??!?!

You know me so well

It's a rosewood Pachmayr set. I usually hate finger grooves but it's so comfy

lol no

Nice, did you get the suppressor?

>Find me a better trigger, user.

Not him, and I'm here because I love 1911's but here is your better trigger user.. no hate.

Attached: PardiniGT9.jpg (1280x960, 544K)

I'm a 1911 guy and I like doublestacks. Doublestack 1911s suck.

Is a rock island armory 1911 a good first gun? I've always liked the 1911. Something about it is so aesthetic

How do you like the staccato C? Was thinking if getting one when I get home next week for fall/winter carry and make my P938 spring/summer CC only

Just know that if you get into the 2011 game you will need to tune the mags, especially with the 140mm and larger. The bodies are super thin for capacity reasons and warp after being loaded and reloaded and bunch and dropped. Atlas gun works has some videos on it. You'll want a set of calipers, vise, chainlink pliers and some extra roll pins (I use ar15 trigger pins), you should be able to get down to 10 or less minutes a mag for initial or like 3 minutes on retune. Do the body first, and then only sand followers if need be and use the highest grit file you can and go slowly.

Also spare followers are nice. I currently use STI 140mm teflon mags with AGW highpowered springs to make sure I get slide lock on the last round.

You are pretty good.
