Too bad they cheaped out and didn't make it in all stainless steel. It's regular carbon steel with some stupid coating that will inevitably get a ding or scratch and then rust will come. And no idea why they didn't include a threaded barrel at that price point.

Old Taurus mags held 15, just like Beretta ones.
Also current Taurus mags are garbage quality, you basically need to replace them with MecGar or modified Beretta magazines to have ones which work properly.

I bought a taurus in a pawn shop on a whim about a year ago because it was super cheap and I wanted a full size 9mm to play with.

You guys clearly don't know that the taurus pt92 is more or less a 1:1 copy of the og beretta 92 from back in the day when it had a heel mounted mag release and frame mounted safety well not really copy iirc beretta had production in brazil then left then taurus took it up since now liscnecing wasnt needed. The slide mounted safety would be introduced on the beretta 92 S so a while ago.
