Do AUG mags work in any other rifles? Is it worth buying one in the STANAG config?

Pretty sure the NATO stock AUG don’t have bolt-hold-open while regular aug stock and aug magdoes. Maybe no ambi switching ejection port as well?

I mean, sure. But I get the feeling there’s a portion of people who hate this because they think in a post-apocalypse scenario, they want to be able to pick up random ar mags and be able to use them.
Problem is, even if you stick with that fantasy, if push comes to shove, there is a mind numbing amount of AR’s and AR parts in the US. If you and your AUG find yourself down to a mag or two and no spare parts, you have a ton of opportunities to pick up an ar15.

yes. im an aug owner and look down on guys that use nato bodies. now a nato stock in ADDITION to a regular stock is fine but not exclusively.

Or because they don't like paying $40 for mags used in only 1 gun, even different guns taking different mags at about that price was the norm prior to the post-AWB AR boom
