Build idea thread:
I mentioned this yesterday but changed my criteria now:
semi auto 22
Threaded barrel
As short of an OAL as possible (26" min).
Ability to use 20 round+ magazines.
Hit me with some options guys. Already have a 10/22 and a 795 but neither of them have threaded barrels, so this will be a new build from scratch.

Can a cut the stock off and just leave a pistol grip as long as I leave the pistol grip.
I know we can't cut barrels down on our own, but why not stocks?
Or do I now need to look for a cost efficient short stock for whatever action I pick.

Like idk. It was sold on the market for 1000, it went up because of the lack of NR on the market and demand. Now with the remake of the same gun for 1000, it's kind of not worth the inflated price it was before.

i bought it in feb of this year. i never noticed it until today. the gun has shot about dead on during the ~300 rounds ive put through it. it doesnt seem like it goes into the barrel, just part of the chamber looks fucked
im not too worried since i spent $200 on it but i dont want the thing to blow up or something lol

dude these rifles were designed to be used by dirt farmer conscripts, run some WD40 through the barrel and gas system, pull a boresnake through and you’ll be good to go

have you tried bronze brush and some ballistol or any other clp type cleaner?

brush it, soak it for an hour or two, brush some more, then show results. could just be some grime or thin gunked up layer of cosmoline you never cleaned off. could be superficial surface rust, could be worse. don"t panic, lean it up to see what you are actually dealing with

not a big deal at all, just some surface rust, let some CLP soak then give 'er a scrub, a lot of the time it looks worse than it is, this is because the bore/chamber is usually full of bits of steel dust that comes off of the cases/bullet jackets while firing, and that's often what the fuzziness and rust you see is

My dad is the same. A successful engineer on The ass end of his career. He never lets on but I'm sure he is a multi millionaire.
