I've only done the basic Massachusetts LTC class (Cape Gun Works) and for the most part it was pretty great and everyone was respectful. There were a couple of weird questions but the instructors encouraged people to ask anything. Here's some:

The weirdest one though came from a man in his mid 70's who was taking the class for an FID, not LTC because he was inheriting a pair of duck guns. When asked why he wasn't going for the LTC he just said he didn't want to buy a pistol. The class spent a good couple of minutes trying to explain you don't have to have an individual license for each type of gun.

You'd wear out their reloading equipment a little depending on how much you dropped on the range, but that's about it. They'd feed fine in just about every .45 out there. The best you could hope for would be their specific gun not liking the steel and malfunctioning more often, which could still be funny since they would not be able to tell why most likely.
