howdy boys went thrifting found some fake and some interesting items including this what is think is VSR russian airborn pants form the 90's any help with verification / identification / authenticity appreciated (i got it for 10 bucks at goodwill)
Camo General /CG/
they look brand fucking new and have no markings other than this
which is a name (asked Russian friend) and what i think is size (50.4)
and some rain drop for 12 bucks
also it has something that said "sidearm" in the inside coat pocket
Nothing airborne about 'em. They're just standard winter pants minus the suspenders or button-in liner.
Is tiger stripe stuff worth anything? Insde a few propped branded ones at Good Will
well they're pretty comfy
bought this too, its pretty alright, its fake tho has tags that say "ranger" on the inside but thats some company
If they’re real they’re worth at least $600 as a set. If not, they’re worthless
Rain drop is cotton/poly that stuff wears like iron
Why airborne?
Those are regular infantry winter trousers, and appear to be missing the Vatnik lining.
The matching jacket has a fake fur liner.
Do real ones say propper on the tag?
no like literally
i couldnt find anything on them and was just browsing through EBay looking for answers some dumb boomer put "super rare airborne russian pants" so i went with that
can we get some /ponchoposting/ going?
Some real ones I have. All have minimal markings, no company names. The fact that the Halloween racks are out now greatly increases your chances of finding rare shit IRL for dirt cheap but it's still a 1 in a million chance. I have done it though, but not for any of the real high dollar tiger stripe pieces.
You should be able to easily flip Propper tiger stripe from goodwill prices, so go ahead and buy the whole rack.
That's a personal dosimeter pouch.
The exposed arm pocket buttons on your shirt/coat means it's an earlier type.
This was a hipster vintage shop halloween rack find from last year.
This was another Halloween find from 4 years ago. It was made for a child.
>that said "sidearm"
Körperseite translates to "body-facing side"
Found some alpenflage in a milsurp store mostly stocking DPM. Trouble is, there's this fucking huge rust stain that won't lift. Any suggestions that won't fuck up the colours?
What do you think boys? I feel like the green needs more brown, and the brown needs more green. Also hunter orange is a very hard color to dye and my attempt was a failure.
Some recent cops heh
I dont like any of them since ucp is ugly at its core but if you think theyre worth more than tinder I suggest you try a purple variant a la serbian tiger stripe
that is some interestingly bight alpenflage
Is fudd stuff less conspicuous?
no, it makes you look like a retard
why do military surplus stores only have american goods? i get that they get it from the US but like they never have anything else
I prefer stuff from before camo
Where do you live user? Here in the UK you can get shit from pretty much anywhere, though there are low stocks and it's not very cheap.
US
if i find items from other places its a one off
In my area finding GOOD, genuine American surp is actually hard to find at shops. A lot of the genuine stock on hand is whatever is popular coming out of Europe. Turns out all the boomers at flea markets is where to go for US stuff up here. North east US.
anyone got some fleck goretex?
Ugly at its core, we are polar opposites. Although it might suck as camo, shitnlooks cool af. Screencap this, in 20 years when the supply tightens up UCP will be highly desired. No one cares about it right now so it's all getting trashed, this is going to make supply limited thus increasing desirability.
How useful of a camo is multicam? It can't just be a tactitard meme right? Some people have flat out denied it being effective whenever I brought it up
Its not an end-all-be-all, but it works pretty well for the areas it was designed to work in.
My full kit, I got a fleck backpack pretty epic
