Legal Loopholes

I am an 18yo living in WA State.
I cannot buy a semi-automatic rifle
HOWEVER, I can buy a semi-automatic shotgun like pic related
I can also buy sabot shells
Is this a good idea or should I just wait to get an AR or something
Also post other loopholes

You can learn to run a bolt a lot faster and hit what you are aiming at than you will be able to firing slugs at speed. A lever is damn fast and the Remington pump rifles wort damn fast as well.

I own a rock island vr60, not bad but jams and misfeeds slugs often. Could be a powder grain issue. No rifling mean shit accuracy. But for hd or range funs its pretty cool. Better be have a willing and able shoulder though my dude.

Don't be a fag and get an 80%

I have a semi .22 along with a mosin and Mauser that I inherited after my grandfather died. I just want to go around the government to spite local lawmakers

I was talking to a guy about this and some dealers wont sell to WA unless you can prove you're 21. I'm sure there are some that will, so I might try that

I'm not advocating straw purchasing, but it is completely legal for someone who is 21 years old to buy you a semi-automatic rifle and gift it to you. You may POSSES a semi-automatic rifle, you just cannot purchase one yourself.

80%s aren't guns, you can buy them online.

I know, but that doesn't stop some dealers from not shipping here.

Skagit reporting in. Get an 80% lower. Most places still ship here.
You can also just buy a stripped lower, it's not a rifle on the paperwork and can still be sold to you.

I will definitely look into that then

Just buy one from fucking wish.com or something. Do you give out your age everytime you buy something online?

Age doesn't matter, with our new laws it's a legal gray area to sell 80% lowers and the tools to complete them without running a background check.

I don't see why a family member couldn't """gift""" you an AR but I'm not sure if the firearm posession age was raised also. If you're really worried pay to talk to a lawyer for an hour.

>semiauto shotgun
I shiggy diggy
If you feel like you need a semi auto box fed shotgun, what you really need is a rifle

If you're gonna get a semi auto, Beretta 1301 is where it's at. You can run a pump gun such as a 500 or 870 quite fast.

>it's a crime to buy a router, an end mill, and a peice of aluminum
No it's not, faggot.

Please for the love of God don't buy a fucking Turkish semi auto.
Get an 80% lower and mill that out if you must

That thing is a piece of shit. Buy a Mossberg 930 JM edition or a Remington 1187 instead.

?

I'm calling bullshit unless Washington made the firearms posession age 18 which I find highly unlikely. You're telling me an 18 year old can't build their own gun in Washington? What's the legal difference between an 18 year old building an AR with an 80 percent lower and a block of steel? I'm not a lawyer but your proposition seems absurd

Get a stripped ar lower. They can’t prove you’re not getting a bolt action upper

Just wait.

>Live in WA
>Leftist billionaires and Seattle conspire to deprive you of your rights
>Look at map
>Find nearby state(s) wherein you can make private purchase
>Travel there, acquire AR

Attached: 1557128939123.jpg (850x599, 114K)

imagine thinking this unironically
>kek

What did he mean by this?

Attached: 1557108614602.jpg (600x600, 55K)

This is now WA thread.

Look up the pre-filed bills 5062 and 5340. They are a semi-auto ban and a mag ban.

Buy NOW. Get politically involved NOW.

Pic related is garbage, buy something either made in America or made in Italy, Turkish shotguns are all cheap shit with no durability to their parts.

Why do you people keep shilling 80% lowers to a kid that has zero experience working on them? Once he acquires all the tools needed to work that lower, he's still gonna go through a couple of them before he gets it right, and in the end he's gonna end up spending more money in all of it than he would, if he had settled for a shotgun.

Buy the ATI Omni Hybrid that's sold as an "AR410"
Comes on a multi caliber lower that accepts .410, .556, and .300blk. Uppers are no restricted.

Because people just like him and worse are able to pump them out in their garage with minimal time and effort.
Blatant retards can finish 80% lowers. Plus, it's a good age to start becoming mechanically inclined, and a fun way at that.

That's why you practice on some bullshit from Wish or the like. Then once you've got it down, you have the know how and the means to do so for life. Teach a man to fish, etc etc.

Or go to the sanctuary counties in WA. Republic isnt enforcing any gun control whatsoever, might be able to have it shipped and transferred there

kek

This. Has to be the whole shotgun setup tho, if it's just a mutlical lower they'll still flag it

They do it because they're assholes who think "LOL just get a bunch of expensive machine tools and put in a bunch of time and effort to learn to be skilled with them so you can use them one time to mill out an AR lower!" is a realistic answer.

80% Glock lowers are do-able for normal people, but 80% AR lowers are a meme right up there with Ron Paul and cryptocurrency.

If I’m not mistaken, you don’t have to be a resident of a state to purchase a long gun there. So go to ID/OR and purchase a rifle?

>a family member couldn't """gift""" you an AR
This is a straw purchase

How the fuck is someone supposed to manage to ruin multiple lowers? In a bedroom with tools poorly clamped to an ammo crate I had a blast and had a lower come out great and now I have a router if I ever have a need for one.

These should be illegal to sell to anybody under 21

But an m&p15- 22 then modify it into an ar-15

If you were really fucking dedicated and taught how to run a mill from your dad and took your time an 18 year old would be able to do it

It won't be cnc quality and you'll see drill bit chunks and a fucked looking trigger pocket

And it will be ugly but it will work

Rudementry teenage Free hand milling of a trigger pocket

He probably doesn't know how to even finger a girl his age yet so imagine how shit the work will be

Nobody needs 4 antennas and a high speed connection. What are you uploading hate speech?

Please go be a fucking retard on some other site.

Drive down to Oregon and pick one up at a sportsmans warehouse. The Omni Hybrid maxx is only 370$ rn

Nudistu Beachu

Sieg is a wannabe machinist and all around shitposter but this is unironically 100% correct

youtube.com/watch?v=QB1o2isrCDI

There is nothing more fun to shoot than a semi auto shotgun with buckshot.

Attached: Globohomo.jpg (500x504, 146K)

this is it right here.

get a levergun for that tactical feel, watch a few Jerry M videos and enjoy your overcompensator at the range.

You know what the cool part is?
Being able to make autosears and suppressors in your garage, because you now have the machinery, tools, and knowledge to do so.
You know what's even cooler?
You can buy used mills, lathes and drill presses for absolutely fuck all
You know what's even COOLER than that?
You can now make damn near anything you want or need.

Just wait man. Go get a 10-22 and practice shooting fundamentals. It'll save you gas money too so you can do teenager things. Focus and girls and thing until you're in your mid to late 20z when you're making more money and you can actually pick up hobbies.

Worse, he's a white male playing videogames and streaming anime porn at home

My dad lived across the country and I never took a shop class and I managed to have smooth trigger pocket walls and aligned pinholes without any real difficulty on my first go. People overestimate the difficulty of things by trying to take less time to have a good end result. I’d agree that he’s somewhat correct but he’s also over exaggerating about something he’s likely never done because as you said, he’s an all around shitposter.

Ayyy, same. If I were an FFL owner, I'd just...
>remove gas tubes from ARs
>sell as "straight pull bolt action rifles"
>no meme classes or age restrictions necessary
>???
>profit

That's how you get butt raped by the ATF for manufacturing without a proper FFL

That counts as manufacturing? Also, I said
>If I were an FFL owner

I know there are some autists on here, but if you're working class you probably know at least one dude with a drill press, and if you ask him to help you and offer some beer I'm sure you can get help with an 80%. I am doing 3 of them next week using my buddy's tools under his supervision and guidance of how to use them, I think by #2 I'll figure it out well enough that it looks good

>That counts as manufacturing?
Yes. That's the whole point, really. If you weren't manufacturing a new straight-pull rifle then that means, legally speaking, you'd be selling a semi-auto instead.

that's retarded, if a rifle doesn't function like a semi auto it isn't semi auto. you literally could just remove the gas tube from an AR and it wouldn't be a semi auto if it didn't function like one, under literally any jurisdiction. it may be true that it's not possible to convert a rifle to a pistol, but no such "once semi auto always semi auto" rule exists lmao

It's a router and a jig, you fucking retards. If you can color inside the lines you can mill out an AR-15 reciever.

Would the state consider an ATI .410 AR to be a shotgun? The lower is interchangeable but it would show up as a shotgun on transfer paperwork wouldn't it?

Remember the last time we gave a kid from WA advice on where to get a semi auto rifle, also is right

I 100% agree. What I think a big part of it is, for whatever reason, people see mechanical shit as daunting these days. Might be because the knowledge is less common and widespread, but either way it seems like all too often people are proposed with something that requires some hands on work and they immediately shut down. It's like the inverse of boomers and computers/internet.

Yes. Read the thread next time instead of asking questions with your head up your ass.

>haha dude just commit a federal felony

>federal offense
>breaking the law, at all
Literally nothing about buying firearms away from home is illegal. If that was true, gunbroker wouldnt exist. You fucking mong.

vepr12

Private sales across state lines are a felony, dude.

Private sales means no FFL you dipshit.

Break the law. Inslee's a cuck.

Vendors don't sell 80% receivers anymore because our new 80% law says that you can be liable if you sell an 80% receiver to someone that cannot legally possess a firearm.

So they don't sell them anymore.

Then go across state lines and buy an 80%. It won't matter to another state because they aren't on the hook for anything, and it isn't a firearm so you can buy it and transport it just fine.

Buying a gun in a neighboring state means they have to comply with the terms of sale. So they'd have to do all the 1639 bullshit in Idaho or Oregon.

False, just bought my 2nd 80% last week. Will arrive on Tuesday. Once done I will have built both an AR10 and AR15 since July.

1) That's only a few sellers who don't understand the law
2) There are plenty that do
3) Fuck anyone who says 80%s are hard. AR 80%s can be done cheap and in the worst case you're out around $40.

Except they don't.

Not a lawfag.. But in Colorado when I was 18 it was legal to purchase and possess a handgun. I couldn't buy ammunition for a handgun, or buy one from a dealer.. But I could purchase one private party and possess it. I could also purchase handgun ammunition from stores if I said it was for use in a long gun.

I don't necessarily think it's a straw purchase if you ask your parents for a handgun for Christmas. That's a gift from a blood relative. If my dad told me that he wanted a handgun for Christmas or his Birthday or Father's day or whatever I would go out buy it and give it to him without doing another 4473 because it's a gift between immediate family.

My advice would be to ask your parents very nicely for an AR-15 for Christmas and hope they get it for you.

Then just buy an AR
Private sale or 80%
Hell, I’ll sell you one user. Just make your way to Kentucky

This too, as long as it's legal to purchase with an out of state ID and possess in whatever state you're buying it in, as well as all the way back home (most states have clauses that allow for traveling with a firearm that may be illegal in their jurisdiction as long as you're traveling through) then you're fine. For instance, I had to drive through Illinois when I was moving, and it was the only state my concealed permit wasn't reciprocated in. I don't have an IL FOID card, AR-15's are illegal in certain counties. I was advised by IL state patrol to put all of my firearms in the trunk and advise any officer that stopped me that I'm traveling through the state.

Calling the state patrol offices on your planned route can give you valuable information as to what's legal.

FOPA protects you during interstate transit so long as the guns are locked in a trunk and unloaded.

I’m WA you have to be 21 to buy any semi auto rifle. That started back in July.

Not what I said, illiterate nigger.
Read 1639. It's a gray area because it's illegal to facilitate or aid a felon in producing a firearm, so a number of manufacturers have stopped shipping to WA, as they could technically be held liable.
1639 really fucked us over.

Attached: 1566871219714.png (409x277, 25K)

It's not a grey area at all. It's just people bowing down to bullshit legislation.
