>An SAS officer armed with a Benelli M4 Super 90 has killed five jihadis during a dawn raid, it has been reported >MI6 agents, working with Iraq's special forces, had identified the building as a suspected bomb factory from which militants would carry out attacks. >A 12-man SAS team was then sent to watch the house for several days. >A 'breach team' were the first to enter, breaking through a doorway into a courtyard.
>One of the breach team opened fire with a shotgun and shot dead three before they could get a shot off. Another two terrorists appeared from a building and he neutralised them as well. >'Several other terrorists emerged from the building but immediately surrendered and began panicking as two of the bodies didn’t have heads – they thought they were about to be executed.'
No. They’re excellent. It’s just the fudd lore of the “you don’t even have to aim” and “get a pump because when you rack it, it will scare the perp away”.
If I’m doing social work I’d rather have a carbine, but a shotgun is a more versatile tool in the toolbox and does many things very well. Slugs for dangerous game and social work. Buckshot for game and social work. Bird shot for birds and varmints. Non lethal for non lethal. Crazy wacky shit kicker norvelty rounds for fun. And low brass target loads for fun.
Shotguns can do it all.
Luke Gutierrez
So long as it's automatic 20G, why not.
Jaxson Roberts
>is the shotgun underrated as a CQB weapon No, stupid. everyone is perfectly aware of what they are good for, which why the troop was carrying the fucking thing in the first pace
Chase Wilson
From the video "profiles from the frontline ep 5" the series is pretty interesting.
There was a thread yesterday where plenty of people claimed shotguns weren't any more effective than intermediate rifle calibers. Jow Forums is full of retarded no-guns that need the basics pointed out to them.
Ayden Butler
I'm surprised there hasn't been a crazy multi-tube or shell select system so you can load a ton of different rounds but always have the one you need when you need it
Tyler Hall
> first pace What about the second pace, different weapon?
Jeremiah Campbell
shotguns are perfectly acceptable as long as you're fighting unarmed enemies. rifles can simply be fired easier and more often.
Daniel Wright

UTS-15 has dual mag tubes and you can select which one it loads from or let it alternate.
Elijah Perez
A lot of noguns like this one get their information from videogames so that’s probably why.
Tell me a better phrase that succinctly encompasses personal defense, property defense, civilc duty as a constitutionally armed citizen, and and disaster preparedness.

>is the shotgun underrated as a CQB weapon? No. You really think the requirements of SOF are the same as regular infantry? SOF dont ruck or patrol, they fly around in choppers and drive up armored Tacomas, so they dont care if they have 5 different guns for ever situation in the boot. The rest of the developed world have to apply whatever gun they can carry in their hands to every situation, be it clearing out tight compounds or shooting for long periods at dots on the horizon, therefore shotguns are worthless to them except as an alternative to bolt cutters. Thats why you've got people saying they're not very good, not because there aren't situations where they shine, but because they're a liability in the majority of them.
Jaxson Diaz
Just "Defense"? Social work sound like a tryhard tactical euphemism, like "non-permissible zone" and gay shit like that.
Jace Ortiz
Would a standard buckshot penetrate modern body armour? If so, even then would a rifle/carbine not be a better choice as it would likely penetrate farther and with more ease? I know this is CQB but shouldn't a carbine/rifle suffice in those circumstances whilst also being able to engage at distance?
That's only really a credible statement if it's without a stock and/or has a standoff device. But if homie is rocking a full-on shotgun, maybe he just wants to bore holes
Isaiah Young
Throw a couple more tacticool buzzwords in there, Benton. How many tribal tattoos do you have?
Hudson Parker
nothing he did with a shotgun here couldn't have been done better with a rifle.
If he didn't reload after shooting 5 guys he only had two shells remaining, maximum. Someone with a rifle would have 25.
Anthony Myers
How about "Sanctioned Slaughter Time," then? "Culling the Dregs," perhaps?
Christian Gomez
Idk how bong operators do it or why, but your breacher should fuck off out of the way. If the guy who shot the lock and hinges is also one of the first guys through the door, you're doing it way wrong by any normal standard.
Asher Barnes
But he did not have to transition to a second weapon and I would assume the guys in his team behind him had all the other neat toys for house entry.

The person who breaches the door isn't the one who goes through first.
The story in the OP is fictional.

Imagine being the SAS guy who didn't get to kill anyone on a raid. That has to feel like showing up for a train party and never getting a crack at the girl, not even last.

>>'Several other terrorists emerged from the building but immediately surrendered and began panicking as two of the bodies didn’t have heads – they thought they were about to be executed.'
Aaaaand there is it.
I have another SAS story too about a pair of operators fighting against right wing chads chavs dealing two-headed dual-gendered genetically-engineered government-owned sheeps in the backstreets of Uwotmateshire, in Cornwall. At some point one operator used a bicycle wheel missing the tire to sever the penis of a nazi chav armed with a butter knife which provocked a chain reaction of uncontrolled ejaculation from that right wing death chav to the point there was cum everywhere which blinded everybody but not the SAS operators who were wearing Oakleys. And it smelled like cheese too which proves the damn froggies were involved. It was truly glorious. God save the Queen.

>It’s just the fudd lore of the “you don’t even have to aim” and “get a pump because when you rack it, it will scare the perp away”. Nah it's the idiots who think the rifle is the end all be all in the defensive tool set as it were. Within it's range, the shotgun reigns supreme. It's faults are well known and often repeated but a 5 shot 12g is a 5 bad guy gun as this ad has beautifuly demonstrated on these jihadis. The rifle has it's place but nothing stops the other guy from shooting you quicker than a proper delivery of buck or slug.

I'm not american. I'm don't appreciate everything coming out of America either. Yet I would never dare to even think something that stupid about their military, especially their SF units, despite these sort of cases being too numerous in my opinion. Also it's written "whose", and not "who's".
Lastly, oi mate, do you have a loicence to post on Jow Forums?
Jackson Walker
It's written "I don't" not "I'm don't".

20 gauge, no guns?
Why 20 gauge?
You know how shotgun calibers work right?
The bigger the gauge the smaller the bore.
12 gauge is bigger than 20 gauge. 10 gauge is bigger than 12.
Caleb Sullivan
Why, fag? Because the sound let's you know theres a man nearby?

Benton. Like the shitty names nu-age white parents gave their kids in the 90s. Like "Lucas," and "Hunter".
With modern ammunition selections, the difference of 20 vs 12 isn't really that much, but yeah Mil and LEO overwhelmingly use 12s. Kinda like a 9 vs 45.
Nolan Richardson
Yeah. Your shit’s all messed up and you talk like a fag.
Where did that poster imply they owned a shotgun at all?
I swear to god more and more people are illiterate and it’s getting worse.
Zachary Morgan
So you're admitting you don't own a shotgun buy are opining anyway? Typical Jow Forums.
Carson Perry
An 8 round mag tube and semi-auto 12g at indoor distances is not something I'd want to be up against.
Gabriel Robinson
Why does Jow Forums feel the need to remake every meme into a shittier form?
Oliver Thompson
Pacifist boomers corrupted it, but this is the original reason for racking a shotgun when you hear an intruder. Since the 1890s, homeowners have been racking shotguns to, um, prepare themselves for dealing with home invaders.
Samuel Myers

this fudd let me shoot 6 shells out of his mossberg off his front porch rapid fire. Well, lets just say it was extremely effective and i would like a mossberg again, i sold my old one but they are well suited for rapid close firing despite what fags tell you here about them being cumbersome.

someone kills 5 dudes. big whoop. how is this noteworthy in the slightest?
tip: it isn't.
Jacob Sanders
Damn right Except cartridge capacity is low and it takes a while to reload or the reload procedure is convoluted. We'll see how these new Mossberg and Remington detachable magazine guns work, though.
20 Ga buckshot and slug are enough to drop a man, except I'd consider the range slightly reduced. In return you get much more pleasant recoil, lighter cartridges, and a lighter gun overall.
