Multicam is the best camouflage the U.S. Army has ever fielded.
Controversial Opinion:
Other urls found in this thread:
>entered service as the last of the BDU era
>wear ACU for most of service
>ETS before issued multicam
Wish I woulda done another few years to get multicam, but I was pretty burnt out desu, and that few years extra would have include another cold ass training cycle and a deployment to A stan
>Olive Drab is the best camouflage the U.S. Army has ever fielded.
FTFY
It looks aesthetic but doesn't blend in too hot
Woodland BDUs.
Blends in just fine if you accentuate from the local fauna as recommend. Actually works better than most.
Eh the new Swiss stuff looks like it works well. But it’s a combination of drab green and drab brown and some grey thrown in.
And yet we didn't pick it because the government thought crye charged too much
That'd be a pain in the ass for larger size elements, you'd have to keep rigging your kit over and over. Fuck all that
Olive drab was found to be only slightly better than UCP. A single blob of color does a horrible job at masking human silhouette even if you have time to wrap yourself in plants.Eyes can pick it up pretty solid colors pretty easily.
Yeah it works very well you use it in any environment which has green trees and bushes.
What's the story behind this picture?
Syrian Camo has been proven to be the best all-around camo in existence.
The Russian one that mildly resembles
Marpat urban?
reverse image search my dude
this
I wish I didn't think it was ugly though
>multicam
OCP is not multicam, it's more of a prototype of what would become
That color set was just a placeholder to show off the new gear, they have selected a new camo that is alpenflage in the Multicam color palette.
if MC means all its variations too then sure.
>local fauna
yeah, just kill some squirrels and shit, zip tie them to the cammies for added effect
Tropic is aesthetic but just a little too dark
personally, the best camo is "whatever matches your local terrain"
picking out camo for aesthetics unless you're just wearing it to the range or camping for fun is larp-tier stupid
Love tropic
Literally every country uses mutlicam now though. God help if there is ever a conventional war between two nations with that shit. All you'll hear about is just constant friendly fire.
It's basically multicam
It's certainly the best milsurp pattern for southern Arizona.
Underrated.
>It's influence spreads like a cancer. Even it's creators are unsure of the next country to adopt it. It must be stopped, Mason.
It's not the new swiss camo. These uniforms were green/grey because they were in test.
Pic related is new swiss camo. It's basically Taz90 without black color
Except it isn't, in fact it predates the original multicam made by crye
Too bad. They looked great like that.
It's still pretty much multicam, don't be a nitpicky faggot
Never got the deal with camo, at all. You deploy and unless you are a fobbit within 1 day you are smothered from head to toe in whatever colors are your local ones.
Unicam like this for the US and European theaters and then a brown color for arid areas and boom you are done.
I'm not, there are tons of multicam variations out there including British MTP, but they don't call it 'multicam' as it is a name for the specific brand
well your autism aside, in the Army we call OCP "multicams" and we don't give a fuck because it's the same thing.
Tigerstripe and Digital Tigerstripe (ABU) are the best camouflages the U.S. Military has ever fielded.
>Literally every country uses mutlicam now though
Every country's special forces at most and even they use something else most of the time.
Have you seen all terrain tiger?
I'm telling you they're not the same because they're not the same kind
Here's a brief comparison between two
Left is the one army adopted and right is the actual multicam
Notice they made a few mod to circumvent the licensing fee
>in the Army we call OCP "multicams"
Colloquially, yes, but then again, there's no significant relation other than them having a prototype from the army lab as the common ancestor
I’ll take it because it’s as close to brushstroke as I’ll ever get
Nigger that shit is basically the same
That's why commies should stick to wearing distinctive shoulder insignia.
Underrated post
Original multi cam is perfect for winter/fall and decent for urban, multi cam tropic is great for spring/summer
>make a "universal" camo
>still make a woodland version of it
Everyone's jumping on the bandwagon like it's the ultimate camouflage, but the moment we stop fighting in sandbox countries we'll be reinventing the wheel again with dedicated woodland camo.
> In the Army we call OCP 'multicams'
I have not once heard anybody do this.
Darker is better than brighter for camouflage purposes.
> Sized different, different color gradients, missing entire pattern overlays
> Same
You're a nigger and ERDL and M81 must be the same to you
Marina Trans Jungle/US4CES is better
Why do the Mexicans always wear them skin tight though
That cut looks cool
I've heard the uniform itself refered to as "ocp's"
The most based camo truspec ever pumped out
maybe if you're not a fat fucking manlet like dude in the picture
...
That's a larper
>want a kleenex to dry your tears
Not quite. They already had the IP rights to the Scorpion pattern (proto-Multicam from Crye) from the Natick trials a decade before.
I will never not be pissed off at that fact
pic vaguely related
Glocks are the iphones of the gun world. Good when they first came out, but now people only buy them because everybody else has one and due the availability of accessories for them.
Fuck off fudd nigger
The same could be said for ARs desu
Dyed UCP is pretty good: youtu.be
ACU works alright if you get it completely soaked.
Glockfag detected
Or dyed it green:
Flecktarn is bestest Tarn
Basically if you make it not ACU, it works.
I think it's a great option, since UCP uniforms are cheap as fuck in the surplus market, they are high quality, the only problem is the camo, which can be "fixed"
Actually, I prefer the ergos on CZ75s
Agreed. This is one of those few things were Russians did it better
>'fixed' via hypothermia
Don't forget, it also makes you look like a douche. Unless you're a hunter, out innawoods, urban camo (jeans and a t shirt) are best. And if you are innawoods, get realtree camo for wherever you are. It looks less douchey and works just as well if not better.
DO NOT listen to the morons that will tell you to buy a bunch of tactical clothes in grey because that is also retarded. Just dress like a normal person. The 'grey man' isnt real, because you look obviously out of place to literally everyone that isn't a retard.
Everyone fucked up the term Grey man so bad no one has any idea what they're talking about anymore.
The object isn't to dress in all Grey, it's to be subdued and subtle. Grey just happens to be the color that invokes those traits. It's to dress in a way that you don't stand out and won't be noticed in the crowd or be remembered.
And realtree is shit. If you hunt in vaguely earthy toned fucking footie pajamas, that's good enough to stalk deer
It's hurts me too desu
>What could have been
Multimeme sucks under direct sunlight
Yes. Puke green footies for the boog. This is the true patricians choice.
underrated
Look at this shit, even UCP is better than MemeCam in the NIR range.
Embarrassing!
He’s not fat, the jacket is puffy. Only the pants are tight.
latpat is still the coolest
Thoughts on Pencott Badlands?
I hope we meet in the igloo. I want to be shot by a man who truly understood me
Didn’t know the Swiss had their own stargate
