I have a Nodak spud receiver set and I cant decide what to build, I already have a 605 clone in 556 and a XM16 clone and a XM177 in .300blk so I am debating between

>DOE SMG clone
>605 clone in .458 Socom

The DOE would be way cheaper to shoot than the .458 however the .458 uses the same mags as a 556 rifle. Which would Jow Forums build?

>SMG-length barrel, handguard setup
>.458 socom
do it OP

458 socom is a fucking meme. Just get the 9mm.

literally the best big bore AR caliber.

I would build a 604, so you can have something to throw a bayonet on since you dont have anything that can do that yet.

thought XM16's had a bayo lug?

Another 177 in 50 Beuwolf

Lafrance m16k

I prefer the port firing weapon

woops didnt see the xm16 for some reason....

Build the DOE

Personally, I'm gonna assemble a Colt 606. Thats mostly because I'm in a shit state and ARs have to be HBARs

they have to be HBAR? how, even in anti'gun eyes, does that matter at all?

Dunno, ask MD lawmakers.

Are you going to make your own pinned fsb for your socom barrel?
The only meme cal barrel I can find with a fsb is a 300 aac barrel by cmmg

Yea. I am going to have the gas block running under the handguards with a carbine length system and the FSB pinned on for looks essentially. Same principle I did with my xm177, although it’s got a pistol length gas system.

the baste of baste coming through

What do I need to make a colt doe clone but in .556, what kind of hand gaurd am I looking for if I want something like a 9mm doe?

as long as there is enough clearance under the handguards you could just run a pistol length gas system under the handguards.

Has anyone ever tried putting an m231 doe handguard on an ar 15 pistol?

The funny thing is that they don’t even define HBAR. Someone could sell an AR with a 1mm thicker barrel than standard, call it an HBAR, and be perfectly fine in theory.

I never knew this was a thing until now
