Is 10 gauge a meme? Is there any reason to use 10 gauge over 12 gauge?

Sneed

Nah, but if you're cursed to be ogremode, being able to handle 10 gauge 3 1/2 inch shells helps alleviate the crippling depression and social anxiety a bit.

>portable cannon
I don’t see a downside

These days, yes, 100% a meme. When was the last time a 10GA firearm was even produced? Does anybody even make shells still?
I've wanted one for so long now

they still make 'em

> The 10 gauge version of today is made for an ultra-elite group of waterfowlers (and some turkey hunters) who are looking for the maximum in down-range knockdown performance. It is no surprise that hard core goose hunters are often Gold 10 owners.

>When heavy birds like Canada and snow geese are diving on your blind, or big toms are strutting out yonder, nothing beats the pure power and reliable performance of a burly Browning 10 gauge shotgun.

Modern 12ga magnums can do 99% of what the 10ga can. That said, 10ga patterns better and tends to have less recoil when firing those same magnum amounts of lead.

When you absolutely, positively, have to kill some no-good cowboys, accept no substitutes.

Unless you're an overly zealous goose hunter or larping as doomguy, then not really. As said, 12 gauge can do about 99% of what 10 gauge can do.

Can' think of any justification but who wouldn't want a 10 gauge fudd canon?

Tell me this doesn't look fucktastic.

It doesn't look fuck tastic.

Is this because I’ve been posting my want for a 10 gauge lately, or are other anons suddenly feeling it now as well?

Why get the Fudd Cannon when you can get the Police version? 20 inch barrel S/A 10 gauge.

Ithaca "Roadblocker".

why not 4 gauge?

That was a stopping rifle, I believe. They had to be big because they used black powder, even if that one is a literal cannon.
