Thoughts on the Beretta APX? I almost bought a Glock 17 yesterday as my first full sized pistol (my only pistol is a Glock 26 that I carry) but got cold feet. How does the APX compare to the Glock 17?
Thoughts on the Beretta APX...
APX, Glock 17, P10, P320 etc. are all good. They're all slightly different enough to where they fit some people better than the others.
APX doesn't have the insane aftermarket that glock has, but it fits my hand way better and otherwise operates the same. To be honest it feels slightly higher quality too.
Since you already have a 26, the 17 makes a lot of sense, pretty much the same controls are ergos, forward compatible magazines are nice.
That said, petty much any of the full size service handguns from respected manufacturers are good these days.
>cold feet
So you didn't buy it?
If not you're dumb, its the most popular full size 9mm for a reason.
Pretty neat alternative if you want the modularity but don't want a P320
Have one, wish I had a Glock 34 instead.

Congrats you summoned the Server Beretta shill.
APX is more like the G19 than the G17, I own both an APX and APX Combat (currently in a APX-RDO setup minus the threaded barrel while I wait for my Supressor
I like the feel 80% more than the Glocks, the egos are nicer the slide serrations are "Meh" it fits my hand a lot better than the Glock and FN509 similar to what said.
If your looking for a good striker 9mm, there are some better options unless you have the cash to get the Combat (RDS and threaded barrel) with one of Berettas 9mm comps. Its an aggressive setup but its also **highly** enjoyable.
However, DESU the FN509 with a Jarvis Industry comp and threaded barrel is great competition for the G17/G17L/G34
What is the purpose you envision fro the APX? EDC? Combat? Range toy? HD? tailor your gun wants to your needs to what you're looking for.
I've shot both and I prefer the APX by far. It feel way better in my hand, actually overall the whole thing feels of much higher quality than the glock. It cost less than a glock too (if I remember right) my only complaint about the APX is the trigger is a bit mushy. The trigger is also pretty fat (which I dont mind) actually if I could have the fat trigger of the APX with the crisp break and pull of the glock the APX would be perfect for me.
Get the competition striker spring and a heavier recoil spring. if you like quick and snappy thats a great setup
I swapped the competition striker spring and it fixed my trigger woes.
Get the 17. Don't listen to these wishy washy fuckers. The APX isn't going to do dick all but make you learn a new manual of arms and another trigger. Training between the 26 and the 17 will correlate and you will be a better shooter. Any difference between the Glock and the Beretta will be negligible. You will be a much better shooter if you stick to one design.
Get a Taurus Millinium. They are just cheaper glock clones that are more easily available.
all these poly striker handguns are more or less the same.
Ask yourself what the G26 isn't doing for you that you want your future pistol to do. A Glock 19 will give you a full hand grip on the gun and bigger internal capacity, not really anything more, but it could be enough because you don't lose anything either. They will have the same trigger, point of aim, manual of arms, etc., which counts for a lot.
The G17 is a gun that a lot of people find to be limiting. It's too long in the grip and the slide for comfortably carry, whereas you can conceal a G19 with ease. I would put some thought between those two.
>APX, Glock 17, P10, P320 etc. are all good.
The P10 had a lot of teething issues. The P320 was actually unsafe when it first came out. I wouldn't trust either one. The APX has a lot going for it. I owned one for a short period of time, but sold it when I realized it's basically an unfinished project. Certain elements are great, like the ergos and manual of arms. Certain elements are ugly or make no sense, like the rat's nest recoil assembly, the take-down method, the decocker button, the flat trigger and the method to remove the chassis. Glocks are dead-simple, fully engineered for easy servicing of every part. The APX could have been like that if Beretta put more time into its development, but instead they shitted out an unfinished product. It's reliable, sure, but beyond that, it's just not elegantly designed.
>its the most popular full size 9mm for a reason
LOL! No, it is not the most popular in any category in any market. Not that that would matter, but the APX is barely selling.
Swallow 115 grains of lead, you obnoxious tripshit.
It's not really that different from a Glock. Not like an HK where he has to learn a new way to drop the magazine.
>all these poly striker handguns are more or less the same.
"Poly striker handgun" isn't a category of gun. Maybe if you actually owned any guns, you would realize that.
I disagree with you saying that the 17 is limiting. I carry a 17 every day and it's not much different from the 19's I've carried in the past. It's a much bigger jump going from a 26 to 19 than it is a 19 to 17, and even then it's not a big deal. I like carrying a 17. I don't think I'll ever go back to a 19.
>I disagree with you saying that the 17 is limiting. I carry a 17 every day and it's not much different from the 19
You are going to have to learn to see past your ego, bub. Let me ask you this: Is the G19 easier or harder to carry concealed than the G17?
should've been rotating barrel
Get a 92, hammer fired>striker fired
Get with the times
I want the optics ready one but I can't find any suppressor sights for co witness, maybe I'm retarded. Beretta said they were going to release some early this year but they aren't on their site
There are better wonder 9s but it's not horrible. I've shotn2 and they both had a tendency to go high right. I did some forum diving and apparently that not an uncommon issue. It still minute of bad guy at any reasonable self defense distance
What others have said, there's better guns for similar and less price. Glock 19 should be considered if you want to upgrade your gun and customize it or if you can get it cheap as a police trade in or pawn shop for $300. Is the APX better than the Glock 19? I think so because it works just as well plus has features like rail, and slide serrations. Would I pay for the APX? Nah, I got a H&k vp9 instead as my wonder 9.
You sound like a complete and utter faggot.
