On a ban era you can’t just install military style furniture, the receiver is made different. Honestly a ban rifle like yours is the way to go, it’s cheaper, looks 98% correct and you don’t have to worry about breaking parts since it’s not as collectible. These were my wife's grandpa's guns. I didn't expect to get anything from him because it's a large family and he didn't have many guns so it's a welcome surprise. Both rifles have their rear sights removed and the Mossberg has 2 sets of holes drilled for a scope. I'm guessing a son had some hair-brained scheme to modernize the sights in the late 1900s. I plan on fixing them up.
