>It's 1 am on a Tuesday night >A clawing metallic sound coming from downstairs wakes you up >You look out your bedroom window and see 3 men trying to pick your front door lock >They each have a hi-point tucked in their pants >5 seconds go by >One of them says "fuck it" >Kicks down door >be poorfag >You own a 10/22 with a 25 round stendo and a Maverick 88 security 20" 7+1 >You also have an old 6 shot 357 that was given to you by your grandfather when he passed away >Everything is loaded and ready to go
Maverick, duh. .22 doesn't have adequate penetration to reach vitals RELIABLY and rimfire cartridges are inherently unreliable due to uneven distribution of the priming compound, that and feeding problems. As for the revolver, handguns and shotguns are in two entire different realms of lethality, no reason to use a handgun when there's a shotgun within the same distance.
Nicholas Cooper
Mav88. Be best gun to use to off myself with.
Christopher Phillips
Grab the 357 and give the rapscallions 2 rounds each
Lucas Anderson
Yes, but the 10/22 has more than 3 times the ammo capacity AND is semi automatic for extremely quick follow-up shots Got damnit
Henry Hall
Garand and shoot them through the floor from upstairs
Jacob Martinez
>Yes, but the 10/22 has more than 3 times the ammo capacity AND is semi automatic Neither of which is going to do you any good when you get a failure to fire/feed or the shot doesn't hit anything vital and a psychological stop doesn't occur. Capacity is nice and all, but it's no substitute for reliability and lethality. Especially with a gap being as huge as between a shotgun and a .22.
Henry Phillips
Depends what kind of loads I have for the shotgun. Buckshot or slugs? Yeah I'm going Maverick 88. Birdshot? I'll take my chances with the wheelgun
Ian Harris
mav88 of course shotty will win over pistol any day
Charles Baker
mav how is this even a question?
Charles King
Shotgun. When the door comes down just say "mornin' niggers" and send their black asses straight to hell.
>trying to pick your front door lock You've never heard nor seen someone pick a lock in your life if you think that it would make the sound you're describing.
Nathan Lee
This but with my Deagle brand Deagle
Caleb Bennett
These are not your typical experienced lock pickers, these are nogs trying to use a Bobby pin and a screwdriver because they saw it on YouTube the night before.
I was at a relatives house a few days ago and they got locked out and a locksmith had to come out and pick the lock for us. The fucker charged 154 dollars for driving 10 minutes and using a lockpick gun for 3 seconds.
10/22, just start opening fire from where you see them at. Defenders are always at an extreme advantage over attackers.
Adam Sanders
duel wield
Kevin Watson
Unironically, I'd sell the shotgun and .22 for just enough money to put together a PSA AR-15. They're really cheap, like 350, less on a good sale.
That and some Speer .223 GoldDot, you've got the ideal set-up.
Sebastian Allen
Rack the slide on the pump gauge. Those Corn Pops will be gone lickity split once they hear that. If not they’re gonna be having a 22 bouncing around their skulls. Semper Fry, Castle Doctrine.
Henry Nelson
Probably maverick. I don't really trust 10/22 reliability.
Ryder Parker
357
It is imbued with your grandfathers spirit.
Your only concern is how to explain to the cops that your grandfather made the gun headshot all 3 with one bullet
how about the maverick with the wheel gun tucked into the waist ban of your jammies?
Matthew Brooks
10-22. Rapid fire is a psychological factor as well. Having a dozen angry little lead bees zipping your way is gonna make your average smash and grab nigger turn tail.
Dylan Morris
Maverick, even with birdshot. I used to have one so I'm pretty familiar with it, and even birdshot is devastating up close.
Thomas Cooper
Shotgun would be best, with revolver as a second.
They'd likely run out of there as soon as they see you and especially if you shoot first.
Hudson Ortiz
I have a maverick just for this purpose. Throw on my plate carrier, top off the tube and let em have it from the top of the stairs.
maverick if loaded with any kind of buck or at least #2 or larger led birdshot. 357 if maverick is loaded with some kind of dove birdshot. I really dont trust rimfire reliability because Ive had a lot of bad experiences with it during feeding and extraction. With enough shots of non-expanding ammunition it can get the job done though if it doesnt fail.
Mason Reed
mossberg >bad guys are in a pseudo-tunnel (doorway) >be a big guy >long-gun stability >12ga lethality
Pic related is called a strike plate. There's one on all of your doors, including your exterior doors. See those screws holding it in? Take a screwdriver and pull one out. Betcha it's a cheap, stumpy little half-inch screw. That's what they come with from Home Depot or wherever the contractor who built your house got them from. The thing is, if Tyrone ever tries kicking in your door, that's what's going to give - those screws will tear out of the door frame, and the strike plate will go with it. I'm sure you've seen home security videos where that's happened.
I'm pretty sure I could kick my way through most american (((walls))) given that you lot like to build houses out of plasterboard.
Christopher Jackson
...this is seriously one of the best security upgrades you can get for your house. Take those short screws out and replace them with longer ones. What you need will almost certainly be some #9 wood screws. Get ones that are three or four inches long. Tyrone will be kicking your door a long damn time before these babies give.
inb4 just get a gun. Yes, I have one. But every second it takes for Tyrone to get in is another second I have to wake up, grab my home defense gun, maybe even have time to put on some ear protection, get in a good firing position, and be ready.
99.99% of people trying to break into your house are going to book it the second you make any noise, you might as well just get a fuckoff loud siren when someone slams your door too hard.
Eli Long
>I'm pretty sure I could kick my way through most american (((walls))) given that you lot like to build houses out of plasterboard. I'm pretty sure you couldn't. I'm even more sure you don't have an 16 inch waist, so I don't think you'll be getting through the studs. And I'm even more sure that you couldn't do any of that before I'd have my home defender ready to ventilate you.
Alright I'll just wait for the termites to eat you alive
Chase Ortiz
Cool, but those screws cost a couple of bucks for a 24-pack, and installing them takes five minutes. Why wouldn't I?
Cheap insurance, as we used to say.
Samuel Rogers
I broke down a door one time into an apartment and I shit you not I kicked the whole door frame through the drywall. It’s amazing how cheaply shit it built.
Matthew Lopez
10/22. Couple of headshots each and call it a day.
Angel Diaz
You'd just need one shot to put down a group, the bullet would bounce around off all their heads like a pinball
Brandon Phillips
I had to kick the door of an apartment down one time.
>At club >Buddy who normally can handle his liquor had too much >Decides to take a 15mph right turn onto the interstate at 65 >Understeers like a motherfucker and puts us in a ditch >Somehow get them to stop fucking around and leave it >End up at a bar down the street chilling >Take a cab ride to my house then drive them home >No keys >Have to break to the door down to get inside
He later patched it up and called it a day.
William Lopez
That's why you need to learn to pick yourself and edc them, unless you live in a state with laws on "burglary tools"
Elijah Morris
Alternate scenario oh pee: >I don’t own any of those yet >but I do own a bolt action .308 and have 100 or so 180 grain cartridges alone >mfw If the bullets didn’t make them bail from being turned into swiss cheese then the 0 to 160+ decibels of rapid fire bolt action decimation that just permafucked their hearing in the dead of night did.
Unload that shotgun point blank into them then riddle them with .22 while they are crawling away
Christopher Gutierrez
>Yes, but the 10/22 has more than 3 times the ammo capacity AND is semi automatic for extremely quick follow-up shots So? For the record I literally have a Mav 88 next to my bed as I am typing this. With the Mav you've got 7 shells in the tube, none in the chamber because not drop safe, 5/10 on the stock, and six in your side saddle. Plus whatever you have in battle gear next to the bed. That's 18-23+ shells for three assailants, plenty.
Brandon Watson
10/22 because 25 rounds and easier to headshot.
Ryan Nguyen
Oh, and also, racking a shotgun is piss easy, fast, and reliable. I have never, while shooting birds/clay, felt like a semi-auto shotgun would be better than how quickly I can rack a shotgun.
Juan Hughes
Maverick.. less likely to miss.
Julian Sanders
I got a PSA from the pawn shop for $250 .... The same shop I got a Colt 6944 for $345 because they didn't know shit.. they thought it was the expanse by colt.
Benjamin Harris
You're either LARPing or it wasn't built to spec. The frame should be secured into wall and ceiling studs (2x4 and increasingly common 2x6).
Dominic Rodriguez
Mav, because the spread of buckshot gives the best of getting all intruders in a tight hallway with one shell, after it passes through my skull because I'm poor and cant afford ammo.
Ayden Thompson
the mav88 and the 10/22. spray around the corner with the 10/22, and if they dont fuck off blast em with the shotty. .357 in the waistband.
Juan Davis
