Red Pill me on Lever Action Guns

Looking at a Henry repeating lever action, probably one of the cheaper .22 LR models.

Are they pozzed?

theyre fun

no they're fucking great, practically semi autos

get a Win 1894 in .357/.38SP and you can shoot for pennies as well as kill people and durrs

get to a big box store and try it out. They should let you cycle the action and you can feel the heft and natural point.

The henry's I've finger fucked are really really slick. Good trigger and slick action. I've not shot any henry's but the rossi I've shot even with the hangups it had was a blast.

I like reorganizing them.

>yo do jews run this company or can I buy from them
Fuck. Off.

Will do, think this might be my first gun purchase.

What's a fair price for a pre 64 Winchester 1894? The local pawn shop by me just bought 3 off some fudd, but they refuse to budge from $1100 a piece.

Seriously dude buy a fucking mare’s leg. I dont give a shit which brand you buy, If you want something pistol-sized that's NR, then that's the best platform on the market

Gas.
Yourself.
Kike.

Really want a Browning made 1895 in 30-06 tbhfam. Unfortunately stock in Australia is hen's teeth rare. Could import here but is a huge fuck around and about $2500AUD ($1750USD, about $700 more than it should be)

shoo leaf shoo

I personally think that is too high, unless pristine.

Last nib in .30-06 I saw was several years ago in AZ and about $900-1000US. Passed on it.

Cool story bro

Oh yeah, I bet it's the Jews fault you're trailer trash, right?

>I cant perform basic internet searches

lever actions are fun

the henry 22 is fun to plink with

It's big in Australia.

Someone give me a quick rundown on Rossi leverguns. Are they just Brazilian trash or actually decent guns?

What are the barrel caps?

In the last 18 months I've bought 3 for $600, $450, and $500. Unless that shit is factory new or it has confirmed kills of hundreds of Indians $1100 is insane.

Reminds me of the fudds at shows who try selling beat to fuck CMP Garands for $2k.

I got a new production Rossi M92 in .38/.357. I was surprised at the quality, wood was design, finish wasn't terrible, mechanisms are all smooth. Only thing is the gay ass safety switch but whatever. Definitely not Winchester quality but worth the $500 I paid.

Fun plinker.

i've heard lots of good stuff about the rossi ranch hand

Oh no fuck that man. Maybe if they’re mint condition I might say that $800 is still a little much. 5-600 for one in really good shape is pretty reasonable

Lever action 22s are the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Get 2

After you stack em deep with ARs, get a bunch of lever guns so you also have some cowboy assault rifles in store

get one in 45-70. don't be a pleb.

Well, I mean like they're barrel caps, right?

But they are repurposed RF connector covers.

>gay ass safety switch
I wonder if there is an aftermarket part for a saddle ring replacement? I know of one for the M94.

I too am interested in buying a levergat and am collecting info on them.

What I found out so far is that it would probably be a carbine in either .375 or .44 mag, mainly because of ammo cost.
It would be basically just a range toy but still has to be a good quality gun I won't regret buying.
Which make and models (new production only) would fit in that category?
Any good sources to gather more info on new production levergats?

Good luck finding a .357, they fly off the shelves for a reason. If you live in a free state that does private sales you might be able to find one for a decent price. Check pawn shops and cabelas as well...I found a Henry .357 for like $400 (they retail for $650) once.

For new production you have Winchester and Uberti in the high end ($1k+), Henry in the middle end ($600-700), and Marlin and Rossi in the lower ends ($450-600). Winchester ones will be the nicest but it’ll cost ya, and Uberti does repros of the older models like the 1873. Henry are really high quality rifles but the loading tube is offputting to some. Their customer service and warranty are probably the best you’ll get in a levergun, and they will probably have a side loader coming out soon in calibers other than .30-30.

Marlin will be hit or miss, their quality took a huge drop after Remington acquired them and they got all new tooling that they had to get used to. Rossi will be the cheapest and their rifles have often been described as kind of rough finished, but once they’re worn in they’re great.

I've got a modern Marlin and think it's quite nice. Ive had zero problems with it.

>.375 or .44 mag, mainly because of ammo cost
This may be true for you, but for me the choice would extend to and be driven by the long view of pairing handgun with rifle. That said, I don't have a lever for my .38/.357. See pic above.

I agree with this post. I once had a Rossi pump to match my Ruger M77/17, but the tube mag was defective, fortunately the guy (private sale) refunded. Finish issues also, not "bad", just "poor" and I was not initially selective enough.

It’s a bait thread. Apparently Shareblue is doing a thing where they’ll start a thread and put in a bunch of Jow Forums dogwhistles. I’m not sure what the end game is.

>redpill
>pozzed
That’s not weapons discussion, you absolute twat. It’s a Shareblue thread badly disguised as a Jow Forums thread.

Thanks for the info, user. Marlins seem to be all over the place here in Swissfagistan. Others too like Chiappa (I don't know anything about their levergats) but mostly in 30-30. If I can't find a Winchester, Uberti or Chiappa (if they are good) in .375 or .44, then I probably have to wait or man up and get a 30-30 which seem to be the most available.

Fun as hell, get one

Oh I forgot about Chiappa. They’re good to go for leverguns, and along with uberti they’re your only option for older discontinued Winchesters that predate the -9x series

Also, why not get a .357 or .44 AND a .30-30? Get some reloading gear with it and you’ll make them affordable to shoot

Love my Rossi R92. Only paid about 400 for it after tax, background check, etc.
16" carbine, chambered in .44 mag

If you can pony up $5-700 on a lever .22 rifle, the Browning BL22 is a sweet little gun. The lever throw is very short so you can just flick your fingers down and back up without having to remove your thumb from the stock and move your hand downward to work the action through it's full range of motion.

Boomer vid but you get the idea

My other hobbies, like 3d printing and CAD, take up way too much time at the moment and in the forseeable future, so reloading isn't an option now. I would like to do it though.

I've bought 2 Marlin's in the past year and they are great, have had 0 issues. 1895 in 45-70 and 1894cb in 357. I think they are out of their rough patch the fit of the stock around the receiver isn't perfect but nothing wobbles and they get smoother/better every time I take them out

Beautiful gun user.

Thank you, user. I still need to do some wood work around the grip to reduce it just a tad. Other than that, just a blast to shoot.

cheap fun cowboy feeling guns
I have a 94 ranger in fuddy fuddy and a 96/22

Attached: 9622.jpg (720x540, 83K)

That’s a sexy bitch right there. 92/94 are objectively peak rifle aesthetics

Yeah, I’m sure they worked out the kinks of moving from using their old jerry rigged machining that heavily compensated for wear and tear to new fresh tooling with stricter tolerances now

>passing over the true beauties itt

While I'm sure you love yours, I could never stand the 96/22.

I have a Henry .22 lever action with the big hoop lever.
I love it.

OP here, does anyone know which models have a very short action so you can shoot it very quickly?

Fact: Winchester 1873 is the most powerful race in the world

Attached: 20190322_160009.jpg (2560x1440, 997K)

You act like a crap load of ppl have posted. Plus most the pics look like ass

The 1873 and 1886 are usually what most people use in competition because they have the shortest actions and then get modded like crazy to have short throws that are super light. A good cowboy action shooter can run a levergun as fast as a semi auto

One of my favorites

Attached: Marlin 39A.jpg (2790x1065, 179K)

They are great ! I've got a couple of golden boys in .22lr and .17 and they shoot wonderfully and after 10,000+ rounds not one problem.

What are the two pumps, 3rd and 4th from left?

Attached: Question.jpg (250x246, 7K)

C&Rfag here

If you ca find them, the postwar Golden 39As from the 1950s and 60s are awesome.

A bit more oddball is its predecessor, the 1897/97, pic related is a later version. Only standard velocity for that one, the 39As can go high-velocity all day long

Nice thing about a .357 lever action is I can shoot my revolver and my rifle on the same feed.

I bought a henry in 45LC as a deer gun for my homestate of Ohio. And honestly it might be my favorite gun now. Something about the lever gat mang.

I'd have the stock stained and refinished but I like darker shades of wood.

>but I like darker shades of wood
Actually plan on doing that. Also getting a sling for it, making it my /out/ gun.

Not gonna make a new thread but why don't they make 30 carbine lever guns?

cause 30 carbines shit and nobody cares about it
its good for the m1 carbine and thats it
its not like theres a huge amount of cheap 30 carbine laying around that people need to buy guns so they can use the ammo

Marlin M38 and a Savage M27. Just added a Rem Feildmaster in second pic.

...

Marlin 45-70 master race reporting in. Once you get a feel for the bullet drop you can lob rounds at hogs though thick brush. It's like shooting a shoulder fired howitzer.

Mine is marked JM, but no oval and I forget the provenance. Any help in identifying the potential year or production?

I thing there should be MORE mag fed, pistol caliber lever action rifles, not les.

In fact, an UZI (or Mac) MAG fed .45ACP, M92 would be saw wheat!

Out of all my guns and meme calibers the 22 lever is still my favorite. Henry 22 with ghost ring sights and heavy octagonal barrel. Action smooth as silk, shoots subsonics on a dime. Could shoot steel all day with it.
Highly recommend one

A Henry Golden Boy that takes Butler Creek Steel Lips 25rnd mags would be cooler!

They finally got them imported again?

I've got a thing for this one for some reason. I just wish it had a natural wood stock instead.

Anyone able to explain to a retard like me how to use the semi-buckhorn sights on a Henry Golden Boy? I can't figure it out for the life of me.

>Henry Golden Boy
bench rest it and figure out where it;s pointing at
youtube.com/watch?v=J6kY_nG3jLw

Does this one take a std 10/22 mag?

400? Why didn't you buy? That was a sin user.

Psh you’d better believe I put that shit on layaway

> I have to end every word with a period for emphasis
Reddit is more your speed my dude

Man, i want one of these. Basically a tiny Savage model 99 that takes 10/22 mags
