It's a nip meme, kinda setting their bureaucratic stamp on it. They used 6.5 and 7.7mm full power cartridges in the 1920s through 1940s with no trouble.
Komatsu's wheeled military products are shit. Nip tracked vehicles are ok, albeit lightweight.
GSDF is brittle and their air force is meh, but the nip navy is top class.
