Any background experience will make you look better, but some of the people here are just big meat heads that are build like freaks of nature. Thats all they have going for them though. bulk up and get some certifications and training. Giants are great intimidation, but a lot of people are better fighters. One of the guys I know is only like 5'8 but he was a Ranger and speaks two languages, a female I know was a nurse and worked in child care, but also is a fitness instructor and trained in Krav Maga. The more you can bring to the table the better

A friend of mine from university is currently a serving officer in RaSP. He says it's stressful as fuck at times, but he loves it and wouldn't go back to his previous job in MoDPlod for anything.

I do work as a bodyguard sometimes, though I still carry my Glock like I do when I stand regular posts for my company. I did get to carry my model 26 in a shoulder holster once because they needed me to work plain clothes right the fuck then and that's all I had that I could conceal at the time. Felt like I was in an 80's buddy cop movie, not only because of the wheel gat but also because I had just come back from my 2 week reserve training and had a huge bushy moustache. It was pretty great, the lady we guarded was an absolute sweetheart and made one of the waiters bring me a shrimp cocktail.
