The 300? I was that "rich kid", then. Thing would dump the whole backpack in like a minute, but it took 7 to fill and pump it back up.
30s 50s and 100s still reigned in the grand scheme. Even the 120s and 200s were more readily refillable.

Oh no. No it wouldn't. It just pumped water into the 3 bulbs. Yeah you're right, it was lugging around 3gal for no reason since everybody that was in on the game had a spigot or refill "tub" to run to.
And as I recall the straps to hold said 3gals were just skinny nylon. Shit got old in a hurry.
