Ever handled a short barreled FAL? If so how does the short G3 compare?

I made it, it's a VMAC10 kit.
I just spray painted it silver and gold, the light makes it look white.

I've fired a 11"(?) FAL clone before and it shot about the same as the PTR PDWR, mine has an 8" barrel though.
The recoil isnt bad but it is insanely loud.

.308 out of an 8" barrel is the same velocity as 7.62x39 out if a 16" barrel.
So you're basically getting a somewhat shorter, really expensive to shoot AK that weighs more than a regular AK with a 30 round mag

Heavier bullets though. And there are 30 round G3 mags.

The FAL felt smoother because of the extra barrel length but I'm a pretty biased towards G3 clones so I'd say I prefer the PTR.
The short barreled PTRs are also much more ergonomic than the full size models. Can actually reach the charging handle.

Very true. A lot more variety in projectile choices if you reload, as well.

5.45mm has dogshit ballistics out of that stubby barrel, which is why it's not used very much.

My buddy has one that we shoot, and it's not that loud. If you can tolerate .223 and .308, it's no different than that.

Yeah. I’ve got both. The 10.5 AR definitely has a thump to it, but a 7.62 krink is just fucking concussive. Even with the krink booster, which directs a lot of shit forward, it’s pretty loud. With a muzzle brake I have made people 4 lanes down at an outdoor range step back until I was finished with it
