Someone spent 40$ on a hatchet? I guess there is a sucker born every minute huh?
How are you making a profit at $40? Are you just onselling shit imported from china?
I'd honestly pay up to $150 for a hatchet if hatchet and axe makers actually used fancier, modern steels and knew how to actually design a head and how to profile the cheeks. Instead the only option that isn't retarded is to buy a council tool for $30 and file down the cheeks yourself.
We make the products ourselves. The blacksmith is not professional but is improving with every weapon made
The target audience would be rockers, pseudo-nerds, viking stuff, medieval stuff people and others, the product is handcrafted and shouldnt be really used (but can be)
All weapons ain't 100% crafted in the picture.
i mean, they are not ready
Not personally, but for the love of God PLEASE SORT YOUR MERCHANDISE. Every goddamn store makes it so difficult to browse, and as much as I love Kult of Athena, their "battle ready" catagory is hilariously bad. Make brand names visible and include reviews, most importantly, DO YOUR RESEARCH. If I see Deepeka shit listed as "battle ready" on one more site, I'm going to scream.
If you are actually making the products, and not just reselling, please, please, please include an FAQ and reviews. Many manufactures are intentionally vague as to sell their wallhangers as actual weapons. Show them in use, and if they are just for decoration, STATE THAT IN THE DESCRIPTION.
Oh, you have no idea what people will pay for a meme hatchet!
>triggered
I only ask because the blacksmith is either undercharging like mad or cheating by using modern tools to spit them out faster.
Personally I wouldn't want to buy a "medieval weapon" that has been cut out of stock with a grinder but the market isn't rational so I wish you the best of luck.
You're damn right I am, though I guess "drawn" would be the right term?
I'd spend more for a decent hatchet.
Setup a booth a flea market, Ren Fair, gun shows, etc. See what kind of sales you make and what products people are interested in.
My brother is an amateur blacksmith and does this
>We make the products ourselves.
So how many cents per hour are you hoping to make here?
Wouldn't stock removal generally be a really poor choice for an axe? Seems like the variation in thickness would mean most axes would have to start out with a massively thick slab of metal ($$$) which you then have to spend the rest of eternity ($$$) grinding down into mostly a big pile of dust.
Op if you haven't gotten it yet, there is only one thing that matters:
THE VOICE OF THE CUSTOMER!
(echo...echo...echo)
Listen to those buying your wares.
Material costs is nothing compaired to labour assuming you aren't in the 3rd world.
Thanks for the reply.
Well, we are looking in the market to see if we can get customers. We cant have a good variety of weapons if we aint spending some cash in needed stuff.
btw, we have a bow that is really, really strong, but i dunno if we would get problems with the law
Guys, i really need name suggestions about the business... i really dont know if i have a professional approach or anything else..
suggestions?
Call it something that's both immediately self explanatory and will pop up when people look for what the business actually is. It's an online store for medieval weapons, so call it medievalweapons.com or something.
You sound like the type of person that batons wood with their knife.

Can I Axe You Something?
>Someone spent 40$ on a hatchet?
40$ is dirt cheap for something like this
Hölhelmjord
I'll be the first to admit I don't have a terribly expert opinion on hatchets and tools but I've heard great things about Husqvarna as a budget hatchet at 45-50 bucks. They allegedly use the same forge as Wetterlings
Nope just the guy that buys a 15$ hatchet
My friend and I
Decent idea but I dont think you should pay to set up in a physical location, it would clap your profit margins too hard. Id say just continue to sell from home.
