Need some help, Jow Forums, as this is not my area of expertise at all. I've been asked to compile a list and/or chart of .45 caliber pistols that create firing pin impressions similar to that of a Glock .45. I'm just hoping that you can point me in the right direction, not do the work for me. Literally asking for a friend.

I know smith and Wesson sdv will make the same type of impression, because it’s a copy of a glock.
But if you specially need .45 caliber, I don’t know what to tell you.

Trying to help a friend wrongfully convicted. DNA just proved it was another guy, but the prosecutor is trying to ignore it. He's even gone on national TV trying to explain away the DNA evidence. A murderer is roaming free as we speak because of this.
Trust me, I'm not.
OP note this image.
Glocks have a fairly distinctive firing pin impression. Oval strike with a faint rectangular impression around it. Every casing I've ever seen from a Glock has had it and I have never seen (although it might exist) any other pistol that leaves that profile.
Of course, also consider that Glocks are among the most popular and common handguns in use within the USA, so it only limits the scope somewhat.
IE if you're looking at tire tracks put down by a toyota Corolla it could still be anybody's Corolla.
glocks are pretty distinctive if it was a clean solid strike.
>>faint rectangular impression
It’s not an impression., it’s a bulge that is call blow back
The pressure pushes the metal out and into the rectangular opening in the breech.
Shoot him
Right, in any case I've seen it on every casing fired from a Glock and nowhere else.

Out of curiosity, what does the hi point pin print look like? Considering it’s a well known budget option with a reputation associated with criminals, it would certainly be worth a look.
