To be fair the presence of the S-300 batteries and overrall Russian presence has limited the IAF to PGM raids from the periphery of the Lebanese mountains where air defences can't effectively target them. This also means they cannot fully leverage the capabilities of their airforce and it shows. Hundreds of airstrikes in Syria, and yet it hasn't been reflected on the ground.
Have they stopped the overall Syrian advance? Nope.

The Israelis have been successfully bombing targets all over Damascus. If long range air defenses can't fight off 4th generation aircraft at long ranges maybe it's finally time to accept that they clearly suck at it.

The Russian air defences weren't ever activated except for explicit attacks on Russian bases and as escalation response (whenever US threatens to bomb Syria etc.). There are plenty of evidences the Israelis coordinate their strikes with the Russians which makes sense - Iran is but an ally of convenience and both are lowkey jockeying for influence within Syria itself. The more Iran (and Syria) suffers, the stronger the Russian position becomes. The P in Putin is Pragmatist after all.
