Eh. I would skip. Billet receiver sets really don't have much benefit, but are generally both heavier and more expensive than their mil spec or mil style counterparts. Just get an Aero upper for like $65 and build off of that.

I don't know what you mean. Is the extra thickness worth it to you? VLTOR claims some ridiculous increase in rigidity, but I'm skeptical it will make a noticeable difference in accuracy or anything else.

The newer MURs are forged. According to VLTOR's tests the, older receivers were 40% more rigid than forged milspec receivers despite being billet, hence I'm curious if it's worth the hype. Is Eric Kinsel trying to dupe me?

5.56 precision guns are kind of a meme. Upper receiver rigidity is good for precision sure, but if you're serious about that just go with something genuinely monolithic or quasi mono like the LaRue Ultimate. Honestly though you can get perfectly good sub 1" accuracy out of a gas gun by just going with a quality mil spec upper and a good barrel bolt combo. Don't get me wrong it isn't a bad call if your priority is precision.

I'm at a loss as to how a mono-rail increases accuracy when you are just using a receiver-mounted optic. To my understanding, the mono-rails available now have typical upper receiver dimensions, while the MUR increases accuracy by preventing receiver flex. Am I missing something here?

Mono or quasi mono uppers secure the barrel and clamp it in a superior way than mil spec barrel nuts or even non mono but non mil spec barrel nuts and rail mounts. We're not just talking about receiver flex, but also talking about flex right where the barrel nut, upper receiver, and barrel extension all meet. Mono and quasi mono uppers reduce flex right there.

This is just one example. Around 5:10 you can see how the barrel nut is part of the upper receiver. There is a reason why some of the most accurate gas 308s that BTFO SR25s use these Seekins receiver sets. LMT is similar.

Get a replacement grip and stock. The UU kit is a fantastic SPR base but the furniture is uggo. Just get a solid lower and furniture and you're good to go.

Eh so fuck LWRC. Their quality is good, but they insist on staying stuck in their cuck state where they can't produce rifles that don't have stupid heavy barrel profiles. Also if you're going LWRC might as well go piston. Plenty of better DI options. Don't get me wrong it would be a very nice rifle, but you can do better.
LMT isn't a bad call at all. It depends though on what your priorities are. If you're building an SPR or something where accuracy is the priority, I would go LaRue. Plus the value will be great. If you're building more of a carbine or blaster, yeah LMT or LWRC.
