What are some good shooting drills to run? I am trying to get better practice as opposed to just shooting static targets at X distance. What I’m currently doing today is
>2 shots at 50m >sprint 25m >2 shots at 100m >sprint 25m >2 shots at 50m >sprint 25m >2 shots at 100m
It’s pretty basic, but I don’t live near any public ranges and currently all I have is 2 targets so I can’t get too fancy.
how the fuck do you confuse 25m and 50m if you're sprinting it? Also your pictures are shit to illustrate distance, so don't use them for that.
I don't have anything constructive to add but public ranges are shit for running drills in my experience anyway unless you go during off hours and are buddy buddy with the owner so they let you do whatever.
Luke Richardson
I didn’t measure it the first time, I just walked and dropped it off. I do a lot of running so running 50m isn’t really a challenge or anything. I’ve never shit at a public range, but I can imagine it’s boring as fuck with all of the rules that go along with it.
I’ve watched them, but often times they have a lot of other targets/items incorporated that I don’t have.

Buy the Bob Keller videos from Panteao. Best instructor i've ever seen.
>earliest MG36 units made 10 years after 922(o) is codified >private collection It's far more likely you're a fed than a LGS owner who schmoozed a letter for a dealer's sample out of a sheriff.
Goddamn, you're willing to admit you have taste that shit? You were better off LARPing as a fed. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt.
Blake White
I don’t have many pics of it and it’s in the safe currently.
Any idea since how I can make this more practical? I have zero experience in anything like this all I know is I like shooting targets and running so I combined the two.
>What should he be doing? Routinely running, lifting weights, practising marksmanship, practise reloading and failure drills, getting professional training in classes. >What he is actually doing Tactical larp running around doing shit he thinks he useful but actually just dumb. It's basically gun crossfit or the shit you see in commercial gyms by people trying to make cool exercises like this youtube.com/watch?v=G38Pxh51YWs.
Joshua Rogers
More practical? Since you're more specialized in runnin' and shootin' I'd say go for a battle rifle configuration. Get a nice sling and spare mags (even though they must cost a fuck ton). If you want tp try a DMR config, get yourself a nice scope and either a 550 cheek piece or a 550sr (the sniper variant) totally adjustable stock. But the 550sr is legend status, so good luck finding the adjustable stock alone, since it's the most valuable part of that variant.

Look up the FAST test, Bill Drill, gabe white technical skills test and follow the exact same procedure but with your carbine start at 10 yards and from low ready obviously
To master low ready splits, transition splits, reload splits and follow through splits of course, this place is such a shopper shithole

Hang six tennis balls from a rail, 1 foot apart, on strings varying in length from 1 foot to 3 feet. Roll 1D6, that’s the one you start with. Start a timer, shoot each ball twice, stop the timer. Check your time. That’s the time you need to beat. On your first round, any missed shot subtracts 1 second from your baseline time. On subsequent rounds, misses add 2 seconds to your time. Starting distance is 10 yards.
Take it up a notch. You have to get a first hit on all 6 balls before you can try for a second hit, starting at the ball where the sequence began. Once you get to where you can consistently hit all the balls on every pass, move back to 15 yards and try it again. Then again to 20, and finally 25. Once that gets boring, go back to 10 yards. Load only 10 rounds into each mag, so you have to shoot the course with a mag change. Crank it up a little more, load a snap cap at random into a mag. This works best if you have 6 or 8 mags to work with, so you have no real idea where the snap cap is. At this stage, misses add an additional snap cap to the mag pile instead of a time penalty.
Alll of this should keep you occupied for a while, without costing a ton of money.

wouldent one shot destroy a tennis ball?
Aiden Bailey
Nope. You have to put enough holes in it that the holes start connecting, until a piece finally falls off. One ball was usually good enough for a couple of boxes of target loads through my Redhawk. Golfballs will also soak up an amazing amount of abuse from a .22. We used to play Ruger golf, trying to get max distance out of a golfball using 10/22s. Hit it with anything bigger, though, and it either disintegrates or disappears over the horizon. Unless there’s rocks around, in which case it bounces back at near relativistic speed to whack you a good one in the nuts.

Nah, you're not going to dismiss any valid points I made with some ad hominem bullshit about fun. Go to Disney Land if you want fun little nigger.

Lol maybe if you’re in poverty. Shooting is my hobby, I have around 30k a year “disposable” income, of that I dump 20k into guns.

From a tennis ball? No. You do this in an area with an appropriate backstop. Anyplace that’s suitable for paper targets will work. The rail to suspend the balls is just a 2x4 and 2 posts.

But a car brings status with it, which is also something to think about. Nobody cares about a gun in your personal or professional life.

isnt Sanswiss just knock off sig shit?
Daniel Hughes
I'm not Swiss, so someone can correct me, but my understanding is that SAN Swiss Arms AG was formerly part of Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft, who got out of the weapons manufacturing business. They then moved under the umbrella of SIG Sauer GmbH.
Jace Clark
Yes. SanSwiss is basically the Sig of old while modern day Sig is just a company without quality control.
