America joined six months after the Soviet Union. Let us also not forget that WW2 is more than Europe, so there's North Africa and the Pacific.

He also played a Jazz song on the piano at Mr Messerschmitt's Birthday party in Berlin with Goering, Gobbels, Himmler, Koller, and Hitler present, who later stormed out.
After receiving is Knights cross with Oak leaves from Hitler, he had lunch with Hitler, Gobbels, and Goering. Goering asked "so you have about 100 conquests now, right?" Marseille immediately replied "you mean women or planes?".

Early on his attitude was pretty shitty, though.
As a wingman, he ditched his comrades to kill spitfires over England. But was so reckless he lost several of his planes. The only reason he wasn't sent to the russian front as a rifleman was because of his Dad being a high ranking officer. His CO transferred him to Afrika to get him out of his hair and because no one wanted to fly with him. It was there he was able to mature a little. He was always rebellious, even until his death.
But he had a very chivalrous attitude. Always cared for the wellbeing of the allied pilots. He would personally recover pilots from the desert in his car, bring them back to his tent as VIPs. He would also try to avoid shooting up the cockpits, focusing his aim on the engine. He took care of his mechanics, always bringing them gifts back from R&R. The man's reputation inspired many axis pilots flying in Afrika to behave gentlemanly in the air.
The book called "The Star of Africa" is a good read that was written by a couple historians that researched official allied and axis reports to verify his kills and interviewed everyone that knew him.
