User, why don't you clean me?!

yeah

Why don't these faggot magazines hold 20 rounds flush? If we reduced the thickness of the autismo polymer steel shell and made a better follower, it would probably fit 23 rounds flush.

I clean all my mags. They get a wipedown every session, and about twice a year they get broken down and cleaned with solvent from the inside out. As a result, they're never terribly dirty.

When I buy a used gun, I clean every millimeter of it, and I'm always amazed at how much fouling, dirt, grass, and other detritus are in the magazines. People who dont' clean their mags are the same people who chew with their mouths open.

no they wouldn't, what the fuck are you talking about. that's not how objects taking up physical space works.

The first Glock 17 magazines weren't steel lined. Just polymer. 17 rounds.

Thx Zed

Confession.
I never clean mags and never will

I never clean my mags and I really don't clean my guns either. I usually just add some oil after every couple of range trips.

If you aren't a poorfag then you can afford guns that don't need to be clean in order to function properly.

you do know magazines have springs, right?

>Holy shit what happened to my barrel!
Don't say you weren't warned.

I'm sorry, little one. Easier to rip out your spring, toss you, and birth a new one.

Prob cus fucking plastic bends and will bulge outwards thus preventing the mag from dropping/feed issues, etc.

But I do, mainly cause I'm a OCD clean freak, I rarely get to shoot my guns due to work and other responsibilities but I'll go through my gun cabinet every couple months and clean/oil my guns just because they're dusty same with my mags but of my 8 or so guns only 3 take mags

My one real complaint about Glocks is that not only are the magazines practically impossible to field strip, but when you do get the floorplate off, the two tabs that kept it extra secure tend to round off and smooth out.

inb4
>you're supposed to squeeze the magazine body while pulling the floorplate out
I have my doubts about this advice. The metal lining could deform if you squeeze too hard, and you really do need to squeeze it hard, to the point where third party companies sell nutcracker-like tools to do the job for you.

You shouldn’t. Why the fuck would you need to clean your mags? I get it if you shoot at some dirty, muddy conditions but hell man.

You should have carry mags that don’t get used or subjected to anything worse than being on your body with the rest of your mags getting shat on at the range. Mags are disposable items, nobody got time to clean those shits

> 2 hours printing
> 5 mins cleaning
perhaps for arbitrary definitions of easy.

This, I take extremely good care of my killing tools.

You're supposed to clean mags?

Glock says not to

guys help I packed my fudge with a glock mag and now I need to clean it for the fifth time today????

I just wipe off the top of the feed lips and the follower using a rag; cleaning out the whole body has never been necessary. I've fired thousands of rounds through my Glocks and have had maybe 1-2 malfunctions.

How many days does it take actually?
I'm still 3 days out from my tools to clean my gear and I've fired 12 rounds from the rifle and 23 from the carbine

I shoot a lot and I shoot trash ammo and I overlube my pistol so that mag is nasty inside but it’s a pain in the ass so I usually just buy new mags and throw the dirty ones in a range mag pile. I should clean them though

pls respond
I just got into funs

shut up faggot

>print a bunch of mag bodies in one go
>shoot 250 rounds
>swap bodies
not an issue really

Is this like getting crab legs at the movies?

Unless they fall into mud+sand you shouldn't clean mags ever.
