"Banned AP ammo" at an event that only fudds and law enforcement attend
Is... Is that...
Is that fucking SS109 projectiles in a reloaded steel case?
It's probably just steel case with some green paint.
you're paying almost $1.50 surcharge for paint.
Fudds mark up EVERYTHING. It’s in part because they like to try to flip guns for good money, but also just overestimating everything.
This is called "idiot tax", or "IWW" marketing (if it works, it works).
>Pmag
>Going to gun shows for any other reason than FTF sale of a gun you're trying to get rid of.
shiggy
I've found deals at shows. I don't go into them expecting them, much like a casino. I'm not there to win, I'm there to be entertained and if I wind up winning too, well bully me.
>dubs confirms
Might as well check out gun shows, although I haven't seen any sort of a deal at any of them for years, not even on beef jerky. I still go to them, but when I see something I like, I go home find it on the interwebs, and buy it for less than half. Gun Shows will be a thing of the past in the near future, and maybe they should be a thing of the past.
There are old dudes at gun shows that literally go there to hang out and drink coffee and get away from their wives. 4 of them will rent a table. Put out a bunch of shit they will sell only if someone pays retard prices (cause they weren’t really interested in selling in the first place).
I find pawn shops much more likely to not know what something is and be willing to negotiate.
>maybe they should be a thing of the past.
I still get the flashbacks during the .22 LR shortages. The fat, sweaty fudds screaming at Walmart clerks for having a daily limit on how many boxes you could buy. The same fucking fudds dumping a handful of rounds in a ziplock baggie to sell them for 25¢ a shot.
Boomers learned a lot from the kikes who conned them out of a country.
Last gun show I went to, I saw:
>Anderson stripped lower, $125
>M7 bayonet (Guaranteed to have stabbed a gook in ‘Nam!), $175
>Clapped-out USGI surplus AR mags with black followers, $30 each
>Bubba’d M1917: $3200
On the upside, I did find some rare ammo I was looking for at an okay price, so going wasn’t a total wash for me.
Just talk to a Boomer about prices of guns. They always mark up the value of everything. "Oh yeah those mini 14s they're worth at least $1500 nowadays" etc. They also always expect huge profit margins on stuff they buy and are willing to wait years for a sucker to fall for it.
Went to a gun show in SC there was a booth where a guy was selling DVDs of himself explaining why he thinks the world is being taken over by the NWO. Also saw the classic booth with ridiculous unwieldy knives.
there are deals to be had, but just like anything else, you have to be in the right place a the right time.
with gun shows, you just have to be there at the right time or go often.
generally speaking though, you chances arent great at a show.
btw sometimes before a show starts vendors can walk around and buy up anything that looks good before the doors open. which is why you best bet of finding a steal is a private seller walking around.
no shit retard?
I went to a gun show years back and bought a nib gen 4 glock 19 for $379... I think it was a pricing error and they thought it was gen 3, idk... anyway, I basically got an extra mag and was like "wow, three for free!" and the guy laughed and now every time I go to the gun show they say "Hey, it's 3-for-free!". I love gun shows
the future is now old man, with this new thing called the internet you can arrange FTF buys without the hassle of setting up a booth or sifting through garbage deals at a rare event
Isn't AP ammo black tipped anyway?
I never get this. Why do people talk about 'boomers' like they are acting differently from other people? Hit middle age and you'll be the one with shit to sell. Take a look in the mirror at any age and you'll see someone wanting to sell shit with a hefty profit. Be it guns, cars or your brother's toys.
So you just fall prey to the over specialized internet con artist or 1 on 1 fud, "i paid 1000 for it in 1999 but i also added a cp holo short sight" must be worth at least 1900 now"
Deals can be found but dont think the internet is foolproof, just see amazom v wish, alot of the same shit sold by scalpers, also Ebay ghost bidders. People will try to get you. Its not about where it's about not being a retard with money.
Wait are green tips banned? Pretty sure I have a few thousand rounds laying around somewhere
I guess I just get lucky at shows, or maybe the shows around me are some of the last good ones. It seems that the smaller shows have the better deals. I just went to one that was at a church, around 20 vendors. Hit up the accessories table, got some small stuff for around online price and saved on no shipping. Found and bought a Winchester model 25 and a Winchester model 1897. I didn't even price ammo. All in all some good priced stuff and some bad priced stuff. Some fun just looking and talking it was a good day.
Yep killing our gun culture starts with killing Gun Shows. This isn’t about saving a few bucks you fool. This is about the rabid leftist that want to disarm us all eliminating yet another normalizing venue. That every weekend Americans can go to “open air arms bazars” and it’s totally cool.
After gun shows and gun stores are eliminated next will public places to shoot. Heavy taxes and permitting/storage requirements etc.
I know you are too young to remember but you use to be able to smoke cigarettes anywhere. You could buy cigarettes from public vending machines, you could smoke on airplanes and in malls. Now all that that is banned and cigs are heavily taxed. Like $10 a pack in NYC and other liberal strong holds.
Everything they did to smokes they are going to do with guns. But I’m glad you want to kill gun shows so you can save $50.
Getting Walmart to stop selling handgun and 5.56 and 7.62x39 ammo was a huge blow. Walmart is the largest seller of ammo in USA.
Rare events? Where do you live? In rural TN I can drive to a gun show almost every single weekend within 100 miles
Here in Kentucky you can still buy and trade guns at open air annual fall festivals called “Court Days”. I am sure that the libs will ending that next. Every day a little more freedom slips through our hands.
My father collected model trains as a hobby. The best deals at train shows were to be had before they opened to the public and a lot of guys would buy a table just to get the early access. In many ways model train collectors mirror Fudds. The older generation has unreasonable views on pricing/scarcity and the newer generation does most of their shopping online. Train shows are dwindling as a result and maybe it is for the best as well.
Train internet is generally dwindling because then reality is people don't have the money to have a basement full of toy trains and all the tools and materials needed to build and decorate. Trains aren’t a part of daily life like they use to be 70 years ago either. I think it has more to do with the subject matter.
First person shooters was the single best recruiting tool shooting hobbies can have.
Why do people sell homemade PSA or Anderson ARs for like $500-550 online and at gun shows? I could just buy a brand new M&P Sport II or Ruger 556 and not have to worry about whether it was assembled correctly or not, plus it would have a warranty unlike the Frankenrifle.
I think drones have largely replaced train culture when it comes to the DIY aspect.
You fags ever seen Nammo AP rounds at a gunshow?
Because that’s probably what they paid for it and are trying to recoup their money and/or they are unaware prices on ARs have been falling rapidly.
Source? I figured itd be online stores if anything especially with walmarts bullshit 21 age restrictions no matter what
Seriously wtf I'm 19 and they denied me from buying a box or slugs
Gun+Shows := array[1...maxint] type white=trash=losers who think their garbage is worth $$$ Only reason to go is to meet cartel buyers in parking lot who reportedly pay 5 g's for a PSA carbine...
You're absolutely correct. It's hard to compete with all the other less expensive hobbies. My brother and I have decent collections that pale in comparison to what my father and his friends accumulated. My stuff fits in the corner of a room but their collections took up their entire basements and then some. If I do have children, it's iffy that I'll share the hobby with them. Firearms I absolutely will though.
Hi glownigger!
Gunshows are a complete waste of time. The best way to get good deals is to have a few gossiper friends that have a large network of trailer trash. They’ll put you into contact with guys that are going through divorces or are short on money and are panic offloading their guns. I lucked out and my uncle does this for me.
>M-muh investment
Boomers are a cancer. On houses, on guns, on cars, on everything because they think if they bought it for a lot, its worth a lot and will be worth more later, when depreciation is a very real thing that they chose to ignore or act like it doesn't apply to them. "I got sumtin special," they'll murmur out in confusion at your offer.
>when depreciation is a very real thing that they chose to ignore or act like it doesn't apply to them
Day of the pillow when?
Tree fell on boomers house across street and has all sorts of damage from like six months ago. Add on six months of water damage. Add on six months of wind damage.
They just listed their house higher than other houses in the area that have no damage. They were out yelling about low ball offers and how insurance claim could fix everything they just don't want to deal with the insurance... Forgetting that their house is more damaged from never doing repairs and their own neglect. Going to be hilarious when house fails any inspection and loan approvals cause they know what they got.
only gun show worth going to imo is wanenmacher in tulsa. i find excellent deals basically every show. also got to meet hickock there a couple times, he goes every november iirc
The difference is I'm not a retard who doesn't understand its much better to sell sooner and then use that money (in stocks, for instance) for a better return, than to wait years and years for a bit more money on the sale.
>My stuff fits in the corner of a room but their collections took up their entire basements and then some. If I do have children, it's iffy that I'll share the hobby with them.
Is your hobby collecting hentai manga?
Or they'll have a whole bunch of cool shit with a sign that says 'NOT FOR SALE' and 'DO NOT TOUCH'
No it's fuddlore. It's not even AP.
>muh lowballs
It's amazing, they always do it
Last gun show I went to, I picked up 21 Austrian FAL mags for $10/mag and an original HK wide forend for my G3K for $40. This was 5 months ago. Just gotta get lucky.
I am actually a connoisseur of Japanese tentacle-fucking wood carvings
Because the boomer mentality depends on people not knowing the value of things or realizing they can get it online for cheaper. This is a product of growing up before cellphones with the internet, online shopping or eBay were a thing.
I always heard it was soft barrier penetration, never really looked into it but assumed it was just FMJ
I think the reason you see some of these prices is because boomers shop at stores, so they think their prices are competitive, but they don't realize the online price beats them badly.
Imagine being an expert on Fudds and instead of writing a book about Fudds or creating some Guide to Fudddom for future Fuddmasters you choose to cry about Fudds in brief boring shitposts about Fudds on a 6D Mandolin plucking forum.
If you actually are, please show me. I'd love to see them.
>Imagine thinking there is a market for fudd books.
You’re clearly a fudd.
I never experienced this shortage. I’m certain it’s just a meme.
>I’m a loser who can’t afford things and it’s other people’s fault
They do it because they’re idiots. It’s actually that simple.
>Walmart
Gonna need some sauce on that if you expect anyone to eat it.
Went to one yesterday, but only because I want to stock up on funs that are not on paper while that is still possible.
It was nice to just hand a dude cash and get a bolty boi. Otherwise everything there was trash. 575 for a shitty TEPCO furniture norinco SKS from some fudds was the best I saw. One guy was selling a couple of PTRs for 700 and 1000 (had optics).
I ended up getting a bolty boi though. Previous gun show I got a pistol that some old fudd made me do an FFL transfer on, but it was a good deal.
/end of blogpost
I wonder if gun shows are gonna be halfway decent when the boomers will have all died off
Fucking source? It was all over the news a week ago you zoomer. Surely you are aware that there is a massive push to steal our god given 2nd Amendment Rights?
Here let me spoon feed you FML: usatoday.com
They will honor their existing ammo contracts with suppliers probably till years end. Then no more handguns (Alaska only) no more handgun Ammo and no more evil calibers which they erroneously referee to as short barre calibers or some other nogunz nonsense.
The CEO of Walmart also ASKed Congress discussing an Assault weapon ban.
Oh shit! See you in November bro!
This! Go to Cabelas and look at every single thing sold in the store from guns to ammo to sleeping bags. It’s all cheaper online. Guess they need the extra money to pay for the stuffed goats and the giant fish tank?
The guns are the worst. Absolute highest prices possible.
>smoke cigarettes anywhere. You could buy cigarettes from public vending machines, you could smoke on airplanes and in malls. Now all that that is banned and cigs are heavily taxed.
Fuck you. Bullshit like this is the real reason similar culture is dying out. Too much insufferable bullshit and too many insufferable tards like yourself.
Dip or snuff would satisify all those urges, but no, you insist on poisoning everybody else air as a display of dominance. Boomers and Gen-Xers like yourself spend your entire lives accumulating a decent amount of wealth. Vehicle paid off, house paid for....then the effects of a million cigs hit. And everything your kids could inherit vanishes. And its worse than that, because it doesn't just kill you, it destroys your quality of life. So your stupid worthless asses hang on by a claw, unable to do anything more strenous than cooking, sometimes even that results in a massive phlegmy coughing fit. For years and years of hell and knowing you simply can't enjoy anything anymore.
AND THEN you die. Possibly with your parents still alive, yet somehow looking YOUNGER than you.
>That every weekend Americans can go to “open air arms bazars” and it’s totally cool.
Oh it is really nice. Just don't expect anyone to spend money on ammo there.
I’ll try to be a nice old boomer user since none of you guy’s apparent keep up with gun news outside of K. Walmart, Kroger and a shit load of other stores banned open carry and Walmart, the largest distributor of firearms and ammo in the US is transforming themsleves to Fudd central with only long barrel shotguns, bolt action deer rifles and shotgun shells and full size rifle cartridges. They are rolling the years back to 1978 gunwise.
Isn't that the /ck/ mcchicken story?
I’m not justifying smoking you retard. I am explaining how the leftist progressives plan to get your guns.
There isn’t going to be a bugaloonor no-knock raids at 2am. Instead the plan is to boil you slowly by turning up the heat over time just a little bit
Taxes on guns and ammo
Permits and fees and licensees.
Shut down ranges and gun stores through fines, re-zoning, environmental (lead and noise) regulations
Guns and ammo become expensive and it’s hard to find places to shoot. Guns become a pain in the ass to own and store (storage requirements). In short the bearucracy will smother you in regs and paper work till gun owners are such a minority they will be out right banned.
You’ll be grandfathered in and allowed to keep you guns and when you die your kids turn them in. Smoking was just an analogy uoundumb cunt
They keep it up and it will be condemned and demolished.
Yeah but its nice to not be a cave troll and go outside and talk to people.
Cabelas is basically useless. The only reason I still go there is to look at shit because it's a better version of REI and my wife enjoys walking around in it.
I’m asking about the claim Walmart is the biggest ammo seller in the country. Sounds like bullshit.
Also, learn to fucking write. You sound like a moron.
I bet you vape.
If boomers footing the bill, that's fine. It is nice quick stop to go look at the fish tank and then see if any rare items on used gun rack labeled wrong. Otherwise I don't buy anything unless deeply discounted or sometimes clothes since can try them on and get proper fit.
cnn.com
> Walmart believes it is not among the top three gun sellers in the industry, but it estimates it has about a 20% market share of ammunition sales.
politico.com
>Walmart’s latest move will reduce its market share of ammunition from about 20 percent to about 6 percent to 9 percent, according to the company memo.
nationalreview.com
>Walmart, the nation’s largest retailer, accounts for roughly 2 percent of all gun sales and 20 percent of ammunition sales. McMillon estimated in his memo that the new policy will reduce Walmart’s share of the ammunition market to between 6 and 9 percent.
Not that guy, but stop making people spoon feed you because you're too lazy to listen/watch/read the news.
this
Whether you’re “that guy” or not is irrelevant. He made a specious claim and never backed it up, and neither did you.
It's better barrier penetration. Good military cartridge but bad HD/hunting
Many towns Walmart is the ONLY seller of ammo and guns. They killed off the mom and pops years ago. 20% off Ammo sales nationally by a single chain is pretty big.
“Walmart described its new limits on ammunition sales, which includes no longer selling handgun ammo, as “dramatic.” The decision is expected to reduce the company's share of the nation's ammunition market to as low as 6 percent, from 20 percent.”
nytimes.com
There is also a access issue. Even if Walmart doesn’t sell the most in many places it’s the only place to get Ammo retail, in person.
Anyway you slice it, Walmart’s politicized decision isn’t a good thing. Killing off gun shows isn’t good either. The fewer places to buy and shoot guns the fewer gun owners and that means fewer pro gun voters.
hell yeah brother
You’re doing some impressive contortions to defend what is still a false claim and try to change the subject. I understand the desire to shift fire when you’re wrong, but come on. Nobody is saying Walmart’s decision to stop selling certain calibers is a good thing.
weak bait
>waaah
>waaaaaH
>WAAAAAAAAAAAAH
>t.(you)
Stop posting whatever you think will start shit.
“Pretty big” isn’t “largest”. Furthermore; some brief inspection shows that the 20% number was generated by Walmart itself. Whether it’s true or not is up for debate, but the shitty selection that Walmart’s always seem to have in my experience leads me to believe it is in fact bullshit.
Walmart similarly claims to sell 1 of every 50 guns sold.. being that I can’t think of a single person I know who’s bought a gun there and that the sporting goods/gun sections generally suck... I’m going to go ahead and call bullshit on that estimate too.
Suck both my dick AND my balls, concurrently.
Who the fuck just talks to people while shopping anymore? Go take an aggregrate of social media posts and you'll find that no one anywhere wants to talk with random people while shoping.
Hey, got to give Walmart credit for being clever. If they could claim a fantasy number and get away with it then in the next phase they could claim a lower one and get away with it. And all the lefties are joyous.
Imagine actually buying used guns
I bet you fuck non virgins too.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what’s going on. It’s basically free good-PR with lefties while they trim some fat off their retail operations.
>he doesn't exclusively buy guns that have already killed people
Imagine not carrying a blooded gun, how can you trust your life to something that isn't already accustomed to killing?
I got banned (so I assume) from my local gun show for selling guns in the parking lot. I had 11 to sell and was refusing to let this group of little brown shits even look at them. Yeah, not gonna have some retard run off with my shit. One in the group (oddly enough with the most prison related tattoos) got really butthurt and told the staff and they told me to leave, and were all taking pics of me and my license plate. Haven't gone to one since, not sure if the staff will recognize me and force me to sell my guns to felons because muh diversity.
Lol, eat shit.
Which itself is a bold strategy due to the fact appeasing the Mob/SJW crowd never satisfies them or works.
Imagine actually puttin*your dick in a girl, knowing full well that they have actual shit inside them...
This poster is a paid slider. He is derailing a perfectly normal conversation about gun show experiences.
Comrade, you think THIS is derailing?
Yes but the m855 steel core is usually painted green on the tip and it can penetrate L3 armor
I have no delusions about our 2nd amendment being under attack and I'm not saying that I agree with any policy that alienates guns from the public eye. I'm just surprised that walmarts the largest seller of ammo in the country cause I personally and from alot of people I know we order ammo online usually 1-2k at a time and I'd assume a fair decent of others are the same way
