Best pocket carry revolver?

Probably a snub .38 special loaded with reverse wadcutters? Is an exposed hammer a no go for pocket carry?
I want something classy looking. Preferably blued. Some old Colt/S&W?

The SW 36 of 60 are great snubbies, doable in the pocket but rather heavy compared to the 442 or Ruger LCR. There are better options out there these days than reverse wadcutters, FEDERAL HST, Hornady 110 gr+p are two good examples. There's also the Smith 49 if you want a hammer/shroud combo. Any of the steel ones I listed are definitely classy. J frames take some skill to shoot, they're not beginner guns and the aluminium frame guns aren't the most fun to train/practice with

Anybody get the Colt Cobra? Yeah the "bright" version is stupid expensive, but I hear they have a pocket carry version that is blackened stainless steel with a cut hammer.

>$1200
Yah fuck that.

I've been after an original S&W 49 but all I've been able to find so far are off of auction sites. I'm probably just gonna start calling around to any gun stores in the area and see if I get lucky.

Got a model 37. Hammer is fine. As the saying goes, " If you want you learn something new, read an old book." And putting your thumb over the hammer while drawing to prevent snagging is a tried and true method. I hope im making sense.. im completely hammeted.

I never see em pop up locally, sadly. I want one myself
Don't shoot +p in it user

S&W 442? It's pretty cheap, no external hammer.

>Is an exposed hammer a no go for pocket carry?
It's certainly not ideal
>I want something classy looking.
Do you want a carry piece or a fashion accessory you fucking homosexual? Range toys are fun and all but if you plan on carrying something g you carry something for practicality.

He can get aesthetic/utility with the right choice desu

>pocket
>all steel

uhhhhhh.........why

You mean the night cobra? Its actually a great gun and i picked it up for 650$ on buds, its now 580$, get it before it goes away and becomes 1000$ again.

Maybe if he's got deep pockets but that in and of itself is the opposite of utility

Ruger LCR 9mm, backup clips in any cylindrical container you can find. An old film roll container works for mine.

It's polymer so it doesn't pull on your pants too much, and fucking 9mm instead of some cucked snubby caliber.

I have a S&W 637 with critical defense rounds.

>reverse wadcutters

That's what they used to use back in the day since none of the older hollow points would expand outta j frames

I would seriously not consider a puny snub. They're really not good for it and are heavily prone to short stroking the trigger, etc. Sure they're small and you think they work but you really can't practice with them often because they get cylinder jams so often.

S&W 642 or 37 are the J-Frames I use. Federal HST in the former, Hornady CD for the lattee.

No they would just use wadcutters. No reverse to it.

im told the lcr in 22wmr has a fucking stupid heavy trigger. is this true? is the 9mm any better?

I imagine they put a heavier trigger in the .22 WMR version for stronger primer strikes since it is a rimfire cartridge.

Yeah rimfire revolver triggers are not great. It's nothing you can't deal with but any centerfire will be lighter.

Alot of people sure. But there definitely was an idea for the time that reversing the bullet would cause expansion or more wound damage. It sounds extremely fudd but people did it. Just google reverse wadcutter

lol
miss me on a snub .357 bruh

Wouldn't one that can take +p with JSPs be better?

ok glass wrists

Why is this always the retort of people too stupid accept that 357 out of a short barrel brings nothing to the table over 9mm/38spl but fireballs and bleeding ears? It's literally the only come back they have.

you should go out side, work out. it'll cure your girl wrists

probably because it's true
man up, nancy

My wrists are well trained from years of cooming

tell it to the chrono, limp dick

Lord help me. If I can save one youngfag from perpetuating this fuckery....

If a 9mm or a 38spl out of a snub can achieve adequate penetration there is no reason for any more numbers. You're done. You've hit vital structures. All those extra numbers from the 357 mean is that you are now blind from the fireball, deaf from the report and struggling to return the gun to a firing position.

Gold Dots and Buffalo Bore LSWCHPs are also good choices.

I'm sorry you can't handle a man's round
enjoy your .22
