Post longslides
Post longslides
Buddy has one of these, pretty fun to shoot and looks real neato. I'd like to get a G24 (the 40s&w version) but they haven't made any past Gen 3 and as a lefty I really like being able to reverse the mag release.
>no extra-long 10mm glocks
>why even live?
Nice 17L though, user.
Longest one I have
You can put a gen3 slide on a gen4 frame, you know. There's a little washer-like adapter to make the slide fit.
I bought this, and it was supposed to be delivered today. But usps sped passed me when I was supposed to sign for it. So now I have no photos, and I’m sad Jow Forums. And I can’t pick it up until Monday
is the glock 40 not extra-long?
glock 40 bro
Behold.
Convince me to go with a 34 over a 17 for a dedicated HD pistol. Is the extra length worth the additional cost of the 34 over the 17?
No I don't think it's worth it. You gain slightly less than an inch in barrel length, and a slightly better sight radius. Neither of these really help you in a HD application. Most 9mm defensive loads are built around a G17-length barrel anyways.

NO FUN ALLOWED
>be a lefty, like reversible mag release
YOU KNOW YOU CAN PUT ANOTHER SLIDE ON IT
I guess you don't see the relevance? Okay, let me try spelling this out.
Gen 3: G24s exist, but all frames have right-handed mag release
Gen 4: No G24s, but all frames have a reversible mag release.
So you put a Gen 3 G24 slide (which exists) on a Gen 4 G17/22/31/34/35 frame (which has a reversible mag release), and now you've got a G24 with reversible mag release.
Get it now?
Not him, but on behalf of the population of dirty lefties that just learn to adapt tonight handed tools, I'm sorry for that user's faggotry and requiring you to literally spell out a simple concept.
You gotta feel bad for the guy. Wrong handed AND retarded? Guy can't catch a break.
Love my long boi.
Not him, but most modern "long slide" pistols are better refered to as "competition length" as the designs are limited by the maximum length of gun you're allowed to use in competitions like IDPA and IPSC. Modern competition length pistols have barrels that are shorter than what you'd see on a 1911 with a threaded barrel at the absolute longest and a lot don't even have a 5" barrel like a 1911 has. Glock's true long slide pistols like the 17L add 2x as much barrel length as their competition length pistols add over their normal full size pistols.
Pic related is a shop of what a true long slide version of one of Steyr's pistols would look like, rather than the pathetic 4.5" "long slide" version they offer.
why did u link one sub twice? also its full of terrible stuff pls dont go there
JAVELINA
Do these pistols have any practical use outside of sport shooting and looking like a badass motherfucker?
>Posts long slide
>No long mag
>cackling_whores.bmp
40 isn't even a 6" barrel
>looking like a badass motherfucker
Does anything else even matter?
Appendix this.
It's a 6.02 barrel, the same length as a 17l. You're thinking of the 34 probably.
a challenger appears
I found a few longbois browsing RIA 2 weeks ago
why is there a competition length glock? I thought they were banned from competitions worldwide because of their constant failures?
Who has a P210 longslide heavy?
That is a Holy Grail gun for me.
Casuals
I made this
g34
Nice.
I didn't even know this was possible, you have given me hope user
For the record this wasn't me, I'm the one who originally posted about wanting a G24
>Glock
>$20 Casio
>ThinkPad
your probably someone who thinks "why does the world need so many over-complicated things when it can be simple and just right?"
>inferior 10mm
>super inferior hi-point
no one cares about your post
Mi 40
>not made in USA but sporting a USA flag
are you really this dense?
you too, you fool.
apparently did
8/10 would hire for mid level management
He seems like the type who can keep the factory running.
Probably has a nice 401k also.
>neither are 10mm
also, your not this stupid to shoot 380 out of both of those or did you forgetfully post a picture of 380 defense ammo along 9mm handguns?
>judging aptitude and skill level by purchases
you probably also buy Iphones and resign on your auto lease because you've "figured it all out"
What makes you think he's not in the USA?
>kriss mag extension
dude, ETS has their 30rnd 10mm mag out, you know this right?
I like that milling work on the slide, really discrete, but very tasteful. Who makes it?
>Brigada Antiterorista
>Anti Terrorist Brigade in either Spanish or Italian
What's the story behind this slide.
>I literally cannot read
Suarez international, I bought it for literally the exact reasons you listed. I wanted something nice, but not over-complicated zev shit
>imagine being this based
Oh wait I can
I think it's portugal or someone that has 17L as an issue firearm. It's on the wiki glock page, just ctrl+f "17l"
god those plastic plates are terrible
why can't they make a 40 slide without the MOS shit so I can just mill it for the sight of my choice at a proper height?
Very nice, my friend. Very nice.
Did it come with the voucher for "one duel against Daniel Suarez"?
You're the first person to notice that the ammo is 380 after all these times I've posted. No I'm not a fucking retard, it for glawk threads. And how do you notice 380 and not 10mm?
This was taken before ets or kriss made 10mm mags. It's a 45 extension modified to fit 10mm mags.
Lolwut? They're one of the most common guns in competition
Uh what happened with the stippling here my friendo
>plastic
WDHMBT
Don't need it where you don't hold
I'd hope not, but I believe you.
Uh, the box says 380 in bigger font than a boomers need for glasses.
>USP
Glock never made a 45acp longslide, so they're pretty boutique.
When the come up for sale on the aftermarket they're nearly 300 dollars. Full guns, 800.
So I've been backordered for 9 months.
They have made the barrel though, so now I'm just waiting on the slide.
That is a Polymer 80 build.
Probably more made in USA parts in it than a Glock manufactured in Smyrna Georgia.
why do longslides cost so much more for fractionally more gun?
Small batch of police trade in that were sent to a US distributor here in Georgia.
Moss Pawn got a couple of them.
The owner still has the original frame, and he occasionally carries the gun at the shop, appendix.
It is a joke, but it actually points pretty good with the chopped frame.
It isn't unique for having that roll mark, but there are fewer than a dozen of them.
Google Fu says Romanian.
The BAT
Close up of seal.
These are brand new, we just got them in. That's a good gun.
There goes my nofap streak.
There's no point in extending the slide when you can just extend only the barrel and save a lot of weight. Also, changing the slide changes the forces felt by the recoil spring, which may lead to malfunctions.
>the recoil spring causing malfunctions is a problem
Just change it
>the slide is heavier
That's the point it lessens recoil
>no point in extending the slide
less felt recoil
longer sight radius
looks great
Also porting is shit, the idea is to maximize the amount of velocity. Otherwise just get a threaded barrel on put a compensator on it. Much more refined than some hack job port.
go be asian someplace else
plastic frame is fine
two tiny fine thread screws into plastic holding my red dot on under recoil? totally different story
Longlock is long
Any 7" semi autos outside of 1911s?
You probably buy overcomplicated gimmicks because if it's simple it must not work well enough.
Very nice! I'd love to get a new trigger but ProductionDivision.jpg. at least the stock 4.5lbs trigger is still very nice.
>t. Nogun nocomp soiboi
The glock longslides reach 6.61" with the threaded barrel.
Can someone post a Glock 17L on a polymer 80CL lower? I think the proportions would be glorious.
no, not worth it. If you want the 34 for the trigger, you can just buy the 2kg trigger connector for 5$ and swap it out in 5 minutes. the lenght of the 17 is already cluncky and a 34 would be kinda awkward for HD.
>a 34 would be awkward for HD
>a 5" barrel handgun
>awkward
Are you a fuckin garden gnome or something?
91ws are like 10-15 bucks
I replace them after every deployment
>rmr
>tac light
>after market trigger
So close yet so far
Yes, if you put an extended mag in them you can also use them as boomerangs.
Hotter than the sun.
If you throw that thing does it come back to you?
Im poor noguns american
Where can i buy a glock 17l for cheap? Whats the cheapest i can get
Need carry gub
I wish STI would start making the Perfect 10mm again, it was pure sex.
Did the same with my G20.
Might be able to find a deal on one at a shop or used
You could go the p80 route and get a 17l slide
I like it
Sexy as fuck
