Here's the cool thing about magnifiers: you can take them off when you don't need them, and it's not going to affect your zero. So use it when you want and don't use it when you don't need it.

Maybe if they’re fixed offset BUIS you’ll have a chance in a firefight. Under stress and combat if you’re optic fails you can get shot in the seconds it takes to flip up your buis. Don’t know how true that can be, since I’ve never been in a combat situation but that SEAL guy with a YouTube channel prefers fixed irons in case your optic fails for his civil unrest rifle.
