What's the most reliable assault rifle?

Depends on the brand, care and area you're in...
If you're in a dry and sandy area, AK's have loose tolerances and spacious actions that move the sand, in muddy areas, AR's are well sealed, especially with the cover closed.

Probably the Mk.23 due to the insane requirements that the Navy demanded for it. Allegedly, it was able to fire 40,000 rounds during testing without a single jam and without any degradation in accuracy.

M2 browning probably, seeing as we still mount it on anything bigger than a man and every derivative that exists is just a minor change here and there and a cooling system. We have not found a viable replacement that preforms more efficiently than this fucking ancient motherfucker from the 1920s.
