How did you pick your username?

a black guy started calling me it on TF2 and i've used it ever since, we ended up having similar themed names and while we don't talk anymore he kept his too

There are many who use it to follow twitch streamers so they don't confuse the streamers. Even using the same username for Reddit.

I have a variant of this, my favourite animal is the Moose, so every username is [adjective]Moose

It's different for each site/ account that way

i'm the opposite. I'm always Ivory[noun] when I want to change it up, sometimes just ivory if it's not taken

my favorite character from an obscure korean game's name
that or Tiny user because am manlet

I always named myself awkward edgy shit because I thought it was cool. Also I kept putting my country's tag after my name (most degenerate thing you can do)
One time I just changed my name on Steam to a random part of some copypasta and kept it ever since.
Noone knows what it means and it makes telling people about my steam name kinda awkward but I'm happy with it because it's original

I named myself after a shitty level in a really old and somewhat obscure retro FPS about ayyliens

Points if anyone can guess the game.

My teammate from hockey changed a few letters in my last name and I've basically used that ever since. Sometimes I'll just shorten my last name down to the first four letters if that id hasn't been taken yet.

I liked a word, I was playing on a pokemon mmo. It was taken, so I added pokemon backwards. Played a different mmo. That combo was taken so I made a second username semi-ironically.
The pokemon one was taken again when I joined xbox live. So i used the other one. And then it just became permanent.

My standard username these days is of a mistranslation of my waifu's name. That or her alternative name. And the other name I use is a variation on the nickname of a girl I used to like.
