Claims to like video games

i play twitch meme games but i genuinely enjoy them. i'm too embarrassed to admit i play games to anyone.

What are real video games fren?
Many games are streamed or have YouTube videos.

i wish i still liked video games desu. but've lost interest in everything. last game i bought was mario odyssey and i got bored after the sand kingdom or whatever

>tfw only play singleplayer games or unpopular video games

presumably eurojank, crpgs, and ps4 exclusives

it's not so much they are not real video games in themselves, it's that the person doesn't seem to want to play anything unless it's popular or can be spun as a social activity. it is hard for me to word it right, but it's like they like the culture around video games much more than video games themselves.

video games are THE last thing in the world you should be a snob about.

>video games are THE last thing in the world you should be a snob about.
why?

because people (like you) who take pride in their taste in video games and judge others based on their taste in video games are fucking insufferable and should neck themselves.

yeah but why in this case and not other cases where people are snobbish and gatekeeping? people do this shit with music all the time.

1 it's stupid to be snobbish about any media
2 if you are about video games it's worse than with movies or music because they are an artform, unlike video games

because a person's taste in music better reflects who they are as a person than their taste in video games.

also, 100% of the people who have "good taste in video games" are wastes of life

what a snobbish thing to say user

Real games are role playing games, e.g. Fallout 4. Games where you have to make intelligent choices on the basis of complex moral problems (like, are synths human?) and really Become a character.

and I contradicted myself there. your taste in video games shows that you are vermin

>because a person's taste in music better reflects who they are as a person than their taste in video games.
lol wtf? Somebody's taste in music is incredibly trivial unless you're still a teenager and music is "important" to you

If you aren't baiting then you deserve to be publicly executed.

Oh yeah.
Like why is elder maxim such a jerk? I loved that epic scene were I 1v1 him with my power mech.
It was so rad (lol)

i dunt like this meme

The meme here is that obscure Japanese games are usually shit once you take off the weeb goggles. Just like how moe anime is shit once you remove the pedo glasses.

Amazing gets fagots

BUT I'M TOO STUPID TO PLAY NON-CASUAL VIDEO GAMES

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

it's a little trivial, but not that trivial. a person's taste in music shows to a certain extent what kind of a person they are.

so do the video games they play. for example, if i play overwatch or league of legends after work i'm probably a nerdy guy, but i have some friends and use games as a way to spend time with them. if i play europa universalis iv i probably live in a sad fantasyland and should have necked myself a long time ago.

I think that gif just gaved me the autism

it's sour and it rhymes with rapes

>a little trivial
It's incredibly fucking trivial

This is what a real game looks like.

Bait.
4 is widely regarded as the worst in the series and particularly lacking on role play, effectively beoming any other FPS. As I'm sure you know.

Wow im god of this thread check em

it depends. if i'm just a regular guy who played sports in high school or a certain type of soulless autist (you) then I probably don't think much about the music I listen to and it doesn't say much about me as a person. if I was bad at sports in high school but I wanted to get laid and wasn't hopelessly autistic (like you) then I would build an identity around listening to the cure and the smiths. if I was molested as a kid and addicted to amphetamines I would listen to nu metal. if i'm black i'll listen to rap, if i'm a jew i might pride myself in my taste in jazz. if I was a band geek in high school and went to music school i probably listen to classical

sorry boys

I recently downloaded a ps2 emulator and can play every title on a whim. Anything I never got to play to play when I was younger, it brought back my love for vidya

Attached: CGWrnCDWwAEs_d1.jpg (390x365, 19K)

yeah and then you might go listen to those various genres for a multitude of other reasons that nobody could deduce from knowing your music taste hence why it's trivial.

It's literally a toy

and music is just entertaining sounds

Same. People who like games in the past 11 years really don't know shit about vidya. Of course there are individual exceptions, but they're less than 5 in 11 years. Vidya is all but dead. Anyone who actually does like vidya has no choice but to admit that.

>claims to like video games
what are you, 15 years old? why are you still playing video games?

>what are you, 15 years old? why are you still playing video games?
why are you even on this board?

most people don't listen to that many genres. sometimes they do, usually because they built their identity around having a wide range of taste in music.

to pick on people i find more pathetic than me, of course, why are you here?

to have a good time with the lads

It's an incredibly complex artform that has been a huge part of human culture since the beginning

>Being a snob about music is slightly better than being a snob about music because music is an artform
Wrong, retard. It has nothing to do with one being an artform. Pretentious people naturally feel superior about their hobbies, wouldn't matter if they listened to music or watched movies

Toys and figures can be art

the point is that too many things can lead to somebody listening to different kinds of music. you might have a personal path to that kind of music, but that's your life informing the music you listen to. the converse, where your music informs others about your life, doesn't really happen because it's not a 1-1 process.

>Being a snob about music is slightly better than being a snob about music because music is an artform
>Being a snob about music is slightly better
>than being a snob about music because music is an artform
What the fuck did he mean by this

>Being a snob about video games is someone who is worse than someone who is a snob about movies
You're implying it's more acceptable to be a snob about movies and music because "art" when that isn't the case

I didn't imply anything though. You okay, dude?

seeand>it's a little trivial, but not that trivial. a person's taste in music shows to a certain extent what kind of a person they are.

I can't get your life story from the music you listen to, especially if what I'm going off of is that you listen to the Beatles or something, but it does inform me about you to at least a certain extent. how much I'm informed depends on the music in question and what I already know about you

I play an ancient miniclip flash game called Balance. It's very simple, you balance a tennis racket and doge incoming balls. I like to listen to small youtubers while playing it. Is this robotcore?
