College fag here. Does anyone else not know what the fuck to major in? At first I was interested in Psychology but upon learning the amount of actual work necessary to get an actual career just completely destroyed any motivation i had. Im a huge procrastinator and i get easily distracted from my work so i know damn well i wont be motivated enough to get a master's I dont know what to do anymore and im just here taking gen ed hoping to figure something out

>not motivated
>goes to college

why?

Major in Business my man.

I enjoy drawing and exercising. Ive had a gym membership for like two years and use go bike riding on a bike trail with my dad every week still do on occasion. thats mostly it though

I dont wanna disappoint my parents. they desperately dont want me to end up like my sister who never studied, and i just wanna make them proud.
to be fair i WAS motivated

Uh. Maybe sports medicine? Idk man. I'd go for something broad unless you know exactly what you want to be doing in life.

read this book, it might help:

literally everyone is interested in psychology. that doesn't mean go to college and spend tens of thousands of dollars to get a useless degree in it. I got a worthless polisci degree because i was interested in it. i had no intention of actually working, i just liked pondering the philosophical ideas and writing about them in research papers. i wasted 40k and 6 years of my youth when i could've just looked up the syllabus of the classes i was interested in and borrowed those books from the library to read on my own time. in my defense, my dad said he was paying for my loans but actually hung me out to dry when push came to shove because he's a disgrace of a man and a shitty father

unless you're majoring in
>any engineering besides bio
>geology
>accounting
>compsci

you're paying for a worthless piece of paper that makes you no more employable than someone with a few years of work experience. if you don't know what you wanna do, work some shit job, save up a few grand, and go travel. teach english overseas or some other adventuring bullshit before you go. if you don't heed my advice you're in for a world of pain.

Sports medicine probably requires a bunch of hard classes like chem for health majors, O-Chem and A&P 300 level, I know kinesiology and pre-PA does at my uni

I'm about to finish a degree in psychology but if I had to do it over I would have chosen engineering or CS

thank you for that, and yeah im pretty much a poorfag, but hey i at least landed a job
i guess geology or accounting dont seem to bad but im just viewing them at a surface level kind of way, kind of the same way as psychology. thanks for the advice though, i wont forget it

Yeah so I picked a meme major and am about done with it. I regret starting college at all.

I'm taking electronic engineering and I want to fucking die. I really want to be a video game developer, but I don't want to do computer science for 4 years just to end up in a desk job with people I despise making business apps.

you better not forget it. don't just brush it off and head for the chopping block anyways. my late twenties 25-present (now 27) has been spent in psychological agony paying off 40k of student loans.

do not major in worthless liberal arts garbage. go to the library instead. all jobs suck so pick the skill that gets you the highest amount of money in exchange for said suck. you're welcome.

edit: everyone I've talked to tells me it will get better

I'm waiting faggots

>tfw have a passion for aeronautical engineering
>live in a sitting country that doesn't make anything

indie dev or do you wanna work for some hot shot company like everyone in their teens does?

Being stuck in a desk in a shitty corporate environment is what makes me want to quit computer science

If I could I'd like to work indie, but once I new what I was doing, I wouldn't mind working for a larger company.

>flounder first three years of undergrad
>only glimpses of interest in studies
>first year general arts, second music theory
>third is philosophy, then minor in history
>found something i'm VERY interested in, have never been interested in school before

wew wew it was all worth it boyos

hope you like teaching

Lol Im across the tracks at UNC studying journalism

teaching is the most mediocre bullshit ever
fuck teaching and fuck the establishment school systems
