Why arent you learning another language you monolingual faggot?

Why arent you learning another language you monolingual faggot?
The chicas dig a hombre who can speak in many tongues

I am, but Japanese is too fucking hard. I'm also a ELS.

Ich will lerne Deutsche, obwhol ich bin ein dummkopf

Because I'm of average intelligence and lazy as all hell. Back to day drinking.

I can speak 2 foreign languages and it's all wasted on me because I'm a spineless, loser who hates himself and who can't deal with anything.

im like good at french, but bulingaling is overrated tbqh

I'm already doing it. I'm studying a third language at 27 and you can't imagine how much I regret not starting it earlier, when I had a more flexible mind to do it.

user: go learn another language. Doesn't matter which one it is, just do it.

There's no point in "learning" a language if you're never going to use it. Not even going to mention the fact that it's impossible to learn without using it.

not true
i learned english by watching only friends dvd

Jes mi parolas maliomete da Eserpanton. Se vi volas lerni gxin, iru al Lernu.com cxar gxi bonegas. Ankaux Duolingo helpus vin.

Jes Esperanto

And guess what you're doing right now, idiot. You're using the language.
There are idiots whose only contact with the language are those stupid language learning apps. They never actively use the language. They just answer stupid quizzes.

G*d didn't want everyone to talk to each other, and that suits me just fine

oh you are right
im a fucking abnormal
sorry

You know the average person loses it if they don't use it right? How the fuck is a robot supposed to use it? Absolutely pointless.

For a robot learning Japanese is useful because then you watch anime easier!

Not to mention you have access to a lot more porn.

I'm English and I'm learning Welsh, it's easy af. easier than french or german. Shame its useless.

Disgusting pathetic beta weeaboos. Rid yourselves of this planet.

What's wrong with you?
Is knowing nothing but English a thing to be proud of? Being less educated is good?

I minored in Spanish and still remember it pretty well but I get the sense that isn't viewed as highly as learning a "romantic" language like French or a more difficult (to English speakers) language like Russian, one friend is a teacher who's fluent in French so I should probably ask him to teach me sometime

If I were to pick a language to learn purely based on which one I thought had an interesting linguistic "design" I'd probably pick Finnish

I'm already a polyglot.
Also
>duolingo and memrise
THE ABSOLUTE STATE

one day when you learn german youll look back on this post and realize how awful it was

This is a weeaboo website, disgusting un-virgin!

>speak four languages
>talk to no one

Stop trying to justify your yellow fever pedo loli shit faggot.

True.
In theory I know my native language, english and french.

In reality I don't remember shit of french.
If I grabbed a book in french and another in russian I would probably understand about the same of both.

Because I'm too asocial to get much out of learning a language. I will just forget what I've learned from lack of use.

I've already mastered Spanish. Even went to Guatemala for a month and never spoke a word of English to the locals. Any advice on my next language? I only know English, Spanish, and a little Japanese.

>white person speaking a romance language other than french and maybe italian
is there anything more cringey than this shit?

>Meme rice
It's like they are indirectly pointing out that only otakus are willful to learn a foreign language

If you live in Europe and don't speak at least 3 languages you are a disgrace to your forefathers

im from england so I only need to learn one language faggot.
well 2 if you count arabic

Ya se espanol, y mi ingles es bastante decente, o por lo menos eso creo. Estoy estudiando para ser traductora y cuando termine la carrera creo que voy a tratar de aprender frances.
French seems a lot harder than English though, and I only learned English by talking to people online and playing videogames/watching movies in English. I guess I'd have to do the same with French.

>mfw non-ASCII text is not allowed
>mfw no face

I can speak 3 tongues: English, Spanish and my native one which is still a romance language, meaning that Spanish was pretty easy for me.

a bunch of European languages are basically the same thing, if you speak spanish and portuguese you are just cheating if you say that's 2 languages

>England
>European
Maybe racially
Only if you get back to the time before you invented world evils like industrialism, capitalism and colonialism that made people's hate against the West justified, only then we can talk, for now only eastern Europeans with their near-tribal collective conscious can be regarded European

I have tried and failed at learning japanese, german, russian, swedish, norwegian, dutch, and icelandic. I am most fluent in german, norwegian and swedish, and mediocre at russian and japanese, and shit at dutch and icelandic

We could find ourselves a cushy translation/localisation job for the language we're learning and no longer be a NEET or dead-end wageslave.

You will most likely never become good enough to be an effective translator, there are much faster ways to end NEEThood.

Yo se dos idiomas ya, kek.

Literally what else do you need?
perhaps Chinese when the time shall come

already speak 4 languages. If I count all the serbocroatian languages as different languages then 7.

Learning languages really is a robot hobby. At first I thought it was for chads and outgoing people but the community is full of people sitting at home watching anime and reviewing flashcards

any advices on how to learn Russian?

I'm already fluent in serbocroatian which may help because it's an slavic language too

>china already has a more numerous middle class than the US
you're already too late idiot

not what I meant to say

You should see polyglot meetings/conferences. There's a higher dose of weapons grade autism than the one found at anime cons. It's a beautiful sight to behold.

I tried memrise but I got sick of the ads and I'm not paying 60 bucks for it. Also eventually in language learning you need to talk to native speakers and I'm too damn shy

Please give us some better resources. Duolingo is shit but I have no idea what else to use for French and German.

Find a grammar textbook. Read progressively harder books. Watch German news channels. That's what I did, now I can shitpost in the German thread on Jow Forums.

>serbocroatian
Napisam ti puno dupe Cedomire.

I've been learning other languages since I was a kid.
Without a word of a lie, I can speak English, French, German, Spanish, Latin, Scots Gaelic, Welsh, Esperanto, Finnish, Arabic, Russian, Japanese (except for Kanji) and Mongolian to varying degrees of fluency.
I'm also an unemployed KHHV. No employer takes this particular skill seriously since I don't have a degree in any of them.

I'm already bilingual and I can get by w/o learning another one. In fact I can mid-sentence hakata konelema teist keelt ilma mingi raskuseta.

French, English, Arabic and a little bit of Deutsch. Might start learning blyat language this summer

How did you learn Scots Gaelic?

udavi se u govnima.

i tried but am literally too brainlet to ever understand the grammar or remember the words. i literally cannot fathom how anyone learns a new language. maybe I am just a retard desu. wish i could do it but it's impossible

it's probably notable that i'm also schizophrenic

I was born in Scotland and went to a primary school that taught it alongside English. It was my third language behind English and Arabic.

I'm using memrise for German and French at the moment. It's going well, but I think I may drop French soon. Learning two languages at once is kinda hard and French pronunciation is pants on head retarded

Ovim koja ti iz usta izlaze bedevijo neosedlana?

Oh, I am Scottish myself too, but I have never been taught it at all.

Sve mi je jedno. Ako hoj mozes I da mi pusis krvavi kurac ako se krajem ucutis.

whereabouts are you from?
i'm from cumbernauld
in my last post i accidentally wrote that i went to cumbernauld primary, but i meant condorrat primary

Njegoseve mosti te nocu pohodile, sto sprijeda a sto straga.

Brown people ruined the Spanish language so I would like to learn Italian
Inb4 Italians are brown

have you seen Sicily?

Those are tan people and they are still European so they are still better than any non europeans

Ci tio estas mi cxiufoje.

Mi estas komencanto. Bonvolu ne bully.

Attached: malbona.png (903x684, 549K)

as to how i learned the others,
I learned Arabic because my dad was a muslim and made me learn it before my mum left him and brought me with her.
I learned French and German in high school as regular subjects.
I learned Spanish because my mum was learning and wanted me to help her practice, being the developing polyglot i was.
I learned Hiragana and Katakana because anime is le epic xd.
I learned Mongolian because a mongolian girl was my oneitis.
Esperanto, Welsh and Russian were all me fucking around on duolingo.
I learned Finnish through a pack i found on /t/.

What's funny is that I never specifically aimed to be a translator or a polyglot, I actually wanted to be a mathematician. Even now, /sci/ is my homeboard and I browse /mg/ every day.

they are literally descended from niggers
didnt you know?

Non-English languages aren't necessary in day to day life.

I took a year of Arabic in university and can still read and write. Not particularly proficient in conversation, but being able to transliterate names and phrases is a cool party trick.

I can also read and write and communicate in Hindi. Taking a year-long course next year. I'd love to speak that language along with Spanish. Spent plenty of time in South Asia as well as Latin America. Being fluent or at least conversational in both would be a dream come true.

oh shut the fuck

>varying degrees of fluency
>took high school French and German
>pissed around with Esperanto on Duolingo

that's like a fucking 10th grader telling people he's 'fluent' in spanish because he can order tacos at a gringo tex-mex restaurant

I still maintain them all and I was able to hold conversations with people when I went on holiday to France.
And from what I can tell, the pissing around on Duolingo is how the majority of multilingual people here learned their languages as well, it's even in the OP pic.

right

being able to ask for directions and ask for escargo and make locals laugh with your shit accent and pronunciation is 'holding conversation'

how the FUCK do you learn a language? is it just easier for some people than others. do you need good memory?

Just be consistent with it. Do it everyday and don't just try to cam it down. It's better to work at least 15 minutes a day than an hour every three days.

i'm feeling pretty defensive now
i can read and write in all the languages I listed and my accents are usually pretty convincing.
especially when it comes to Japanese and Russian, i can naturally recognise a lot of vocal distinctions that never would have occured to me in English.

liquid consonants are a pretty good example

Lmao I've learned 2 languages this year alone. Typescript and Dart.

l'm 29 its too late. How does one even learn a language from scratch? Aren't the only truly bilingual people either raised that way or super autists? Everyone else only understands new languages, but can't speak them without sounding like a retard- unless they live with speakers of the language and practice for years.

omae no seikatsu owaru okamasan

Write something in Arabic using a pen and paper then. Make sure to timestamp.

Should've been born to a rich globalist family. Sucks to be you.

Inverclyde

Because i can speak 4 languages already pendejo.

Je parle le Francais, et toi perdant?

I only speak my native language and English. I'm too lazy to invest the thousands of hours required to learn another one properly. I tried numerous times with German but I only got to A2 level at best before I quit.

>No employer takes this particular skill seriously since I don't have a degree in any of them.
You realize you could get internationally-recognized certificates on most of those, right?

Jokes on you i know 3 languages +i am learning one.

That's kind of lame. In Ireland every school teaches Irish Gaelic. Not that it does much good.

I'm learning Swiss German because I'm an Aspie who got interest in Switzerland. I also know a little but of english, but I don't know the grammar good enough yet and my lack of interest on it never made me learn english properly.

Not all of us live in the land of the free, the only monolingual people here live in the US or UK

>implying learning a new language will make girls want me

Your English is okay, it's good enough for me to understand

>the only monolingual people here live in the US or UK
and Australia and Canada

and Ireland and New Zealand

>traductora
Go away, roastie.

Because I'm an American and have no reason to leave my country.
