i love these kinds of memes, i reckon they are referd to as "ironic memes" or "meta memes"
i reckon they originated in the timespan between 2012-2014 mostly on Jow Forums when people started mocking the general meme culture with memes like "le troll face" and all the variations of it etc
anyway, point is, the dumbest and senseless the meme is the more i seem to enjoy it, it's like laughing at nothing while laughing at everything at the same time, i know this sounds retarded/cringy but something abiut the deconstruction of it all, like the meme in the op, there's no point to it, no story or lesson learned, no meaning, nothing, but it's just so ridiculous, the sock tan, the captiob, the way the guy's dressed, it's like the longer you look at it the funnier it gets because you just keep creating meanings around it
another point is it's kinda just a "fuck you" to whomever, like comedy has always been this contrived thing, like a formula, with comedians spending months coming up with a joke when all you really need is some misplaced picture without any context and it makes people laugh harder than any stand up ever did
